Movie Review: A work of art

I bought this DVD at Walmart this afternoon, which was the first day of its release. Actually, I was there just after midnight, but even though there was shelf space allotted for this title, the DVDs had not yet been stocked. When I returned this afternoon, almost all of them had been sold. I took this as a good sign. I mean, if this movie was as crappy as everyone claims, why would Walmart be almost sold out halfway through the first day of its release?
Also, one of the few remaining copies had been opened, and the disc inside was missing, so someone had decided it was worth their freedom to own this masterpiece. Then again, Walmart recently announced they're no longer going to prosecute first-time shoplifters who get caught stealing less than $25 worth of merchandise, stating it was no longer cost-effective for them, but still, it proves it's a popular movie.
The front cover is a work of art. It came with a glossy cardboard slip-cover which the actual plastic case was inside of, so I hung the slip-cover on my bedroom wall. It's a black and blue theme with three Lindsays, two of them mirrored profiles of her face looking innocent for the first time since Get A Clue, and the third one leaning against a stripper pole in a stripper slut costume, looking like a whore. The hair of the mirrored, innocent Lindsays is sort of shaped like a keyhole, framing the whore Lindsay and her stripper pole, so the person looking at the front cover is automatically thrust into the role of a murderous stalker. It looks pretty cool under the custom Lindsay Lohan clock I bought on eBay.
The DVD contains both the 1.33:1 full screen and 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen editions. I programmed the disc for English subtitles and chose the widescreen edition so the subtitles wouldn't interfere with the picture.
I turned off all the lights and started the movie. The opening song is very good. The singer sounds a lot like Lou Reed, but I'm pretty sure it's someone else.
The movie is in color.
As the Lou Reed guy was doing that half-singing half-talking thing that Lou Reed does, Lindsay was dancing onstage in her stripper slut costume. Hmmm, I thought, this looks pretty good. No wonder it was almost sold/stolen out so fast.
So I paused the DVD and wrote this review. I give it 4 stars so far, plus a bonus star in honor of the person who was dumb enough to shoplift a copy but smart enough to keep it under Walmart's $25 limit.
