Movie Reviews of HousesitterMovie Review: CUTE! Summary: 4 Stars
This movie is about an architect, played by Steve Martin, who builds his dream house for his highschool sweetheart. When he asks her to marry him, she turns him down and he is heartbroken. He has a chance encounter with Gwen, played by Goldie Hawn, and after hearing the story of his dreamhouse she takes a little trip to his town and moves into his home. Soon through many events, people begin to know her as Steve's wife, even his parents and Gwen lets them believe this. That is where the fun begins as she teams up with Steve in a plot to get his old girlfriend Becky jealous and wondering just what she had missed in not marrying Steve. This was a fun movie, not one of Goldie's best but still enjoyable. I did like the ending, but I always do like happy endings in everything I watch.
Movie Review: Hawn and Martin are good in this one. Summary: 4 Stars
You might remember "The Out-of-Towners" and cringe when you see Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin in another movie. (Though this one preceeded it by about a decade) However, this one is actually quite cute. I enjoyed the craftiness of Hawn's character while Martin's character tried to keep up with her. I only gave it four stars because there is a moment or two where you might be slightly frustrated - but overall, an enjoyable movie with many funny moments.
Movie Review: Movie - Comedy Summary: 4 Stars
I happen to be a huge Goldie Hawn fan so loved this movie. This is also a fun movie for Steve Martin fans. Dana Delaney plays the love interest of Steve Martin's character. When she rejects him he meets a fun and spontaneous woman played by Goldie Hawn. Pretending to be someone that you are not can somehow make a fantasy life turn into reality with a little love thrown in.
Movie Review: Bring back memories Summary: 4 Stars
Seriously I dont even remember the first or the last time I saw this movie...I think I was still a kid,at home watching it with my parents.
Steve Martin & Goldie Hawn make a good and very funny couple onscreen.
My dad was sooooo happy watching this movie again that he watched it 2 times straight.
Movie Review: Good movie Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this movie for my wife. It's a good, fun, happy movie. Light-hearted and doesn't take itself too seriously. There are plenty of quirky characters and the setting in New England is beautiful. Once more, there aren't too many special features which is a bit of an irritant.
