Movie Review: ALMOST AS GOOD AS THE NEW DAWN!
Summary: 5 Stars
I love this movie! I know it ain't gonna win an award for anything, except maybe the goriest movie to get an R in the past 10 years. I thought that Freddy Vs. Jason was the goriest film in a long time, but this just put it to shame. It's a horror movie people. Horror movies are about the body count. If you want something scary go see a thriller like Gothika. If you're a wimp, go see the Ring. This movie is based upon a game and that's why I give it 5 stars. It had some cool action, with some great gore. I hoped it would be bloody and I wasn't disappointed. For anyone that says that the gore looks fake, that's 'cuz it is. They can't exactly run around with real bullets killing extras left and right. That's murder, like the reviews I've been reading. This film is a popcorn movie that you should watch and cheer on, not boo. If you think you can make something better, then submit a script to a movie company and see if it gets made. Until you can do that, leave it to the professionals, k? I wanna see a sequel or even a series.4/1/04
I just watched this DVD, 'cuz I just bought it! I love this film. What is wrong with it? It even says in the little book in the case that they knew they weren't making Citizen Kane. They just wanted to bring the GAME to life. That's what this is based on. A game. A video game that has no story, no good voice acting, but excellent violence and gore. For those saying that this movie sucks, probably weren't fans of the game or tried to take this movie seriously. It's just a fun movie with very little plot, due to the lack of things they had to work with in the first place, and with what the game had that makes it so great, graphic, bloody violence. It also has something that the game don't have. TA-TA's!
Movie Review: Awesome Flick

I don't know why everyone is bashing this movie. This movie is great.
Ok, ok, don't think of this movie as the best zombie movie ever made and don't think it of it as an Oscar winner, but it's still good.
Plot: A group of kids on a zombie filled island.
Characters: Pretty good, but if they were really good actors or if the character development got too detailed it would have ruined the movie.
Gore: Plenty and re-occuring
Basically, kids are stuck on this island. A boat captain happens to smuggle guns, so they get the guns and blow the crap out of some zombies. Heads exploding, guts being blown out, people getting eaten. Who could ask for more?
Now i know that a lot people don't like this movie for whatever reason, but take this into consideration. There will never be another "Night of the Living Dead", "Dawn", "Zombie" etc. Those are gone and are now classics. Stop comparing every zombie movie to those. It's time to move on and give the new Zombie film making generation a chance. If you keep bashing the movies, then eventually they will stop making them. Stop being so criticizing and just relax. It's only a movie.
Buy this DvD if you just want a good shot 'em up zombie flick with plenty of blood and guts. If not, watch Debbie Does Dallas or something else worth while.
Movie Review: Better Than Resident Evil

Okay, first things first, if you're looking for a very suspenseful movie, then don't bother wasting your time to see it, but there is some suspense in it. There are some game footage scenes in the movie during the transition frome scene-to-scene points, credits, and in some scenes of the movie where the animations depict how the monsters are killed. I prefer the animations during the credits and the transition points, but sometimes, they're just an annoyance in other areas. That's the only complaint I have so far. Looking for blood, guts, [breasts], and gore? You got all right here, but it's not too gratitious with nudity.Okay, this is the first SEGA game that I ever saw become a movie. I'm a big fan of SEGA and had high expectations when I heard this would be made a movie, especially a German director at the helm, but the movie met my expectations! Now, if you want to know the pace of the movie it's this - fast, furious, and there are moments of romance and drama, which is good. But if you've played the first game and finished it, you'll be surprised by the ending of this movie. This movie would be considered a prequel to the first game!
ENJOY THE RAVE BUT REMEMBER...YOU WON'T SURVIVE ONE NIGHT!
Movie Review: So bad it's good

I LOVE this movie! Yes, it's god awful: the acting is horrible, the action sequences range from over-the-top to lame, and the story goes nowhere... but all this goes into making it my favorite campy zombie fest ever! Plus it's got some of the best campy quotes ever! "This book looks really old, maybe it can help us!" Classic!
What makes it so great is that it feels like they were really trying to make a top notch horror flick, but just failed miserably. Maybe it makes me a sadist, but I don't think it would be funny if they were trying to make it campy. I heard they released a version with a laugh track, but I attribute that to them trying to save some face (which makes it even better!). I don't understand how movies like Evil Dead (I love that too!) can have such a cult following, while this movie gets taken to the curb. Probably just because Uwe Boll has a reputation of being a jerk, or maybe because people are just trying to take it as seriously as they meant it to be.
Bottom line: if you watch this with some buddies, and with a sense of humor - maybe with some beers - you'll have a blast.
Movie Review: AWESOME F***IN' MOVIE!!!!!!!

This film is the greatest video game based film ever! This is much better than any other video game movie. I can't believe I'm reading what I'm reading. This movie is one of the few that actually delivers stuff from the game. When in the Resident Evil games did a lazer kill you? Why was it titled Mortal Kombat if it had minimal fighting? Granted I like both of these movies, but they shouldn't be holding the titles that they do. This one delivered everything that made these games great. Minimal story and loads of bloody action. Have any of ya'll even played these games? You expect a movie to be like The Piano and Citizen Kane and you forget that a horror movie is supposed to be fun to watch. The Ring sucked because it had way too much stuff going on at once, but this one just gets right to the f***in' point! I enjoyed this movie and I hope to see a sequel.
