Movie Review: Be careful

This is a great show but when I purchased it, I received a bootleg copy. The box artwork was very convincing but the DVD quality was terrible. I asked my brother to look at it and give me his opinion and he agreed. So I ordered another copy direct from Amazon, avoiding the other sellers here on Amazon. When it arrived, my brother, a graphic designer, compared the two covers and noticed the differences. You had to have the original and the forgery to notice the differences. Also, I noticed that the bootleg copy only had 5 chapters in each episode and this seemed wrong to me. The Amazon copy I received proved me right as it has somewhere along the lines of 10-15 chapters. I threw the bootleg copy away but did not report it to Amazon since I had recently complained about the same issue with my Lost DVDs. It is a great show, worth buying. I started watching House about 2 years ago and I am hopelessly addicted. I find the show entertaining. House and his team keep things going each week with the story lines and there are usually 2 or 3 going on at the same time. Then add the mix of the drama between House and his team members and it gets fun & crazy! I will say that I could have easily lived with out the whole "gay thing" as I don't find that very entertaining and it did nothing to enhance the story. But other than that, I find House one of the best weekly programs on TV these days. Hugh Laurie is an amazing actor and I love his quirky behavior on the show. I am giving House MD a 5 star rating! Oh and writing Amber back in for a few episodes is so fun! I love this show and can't wait till next week's show is on!! Glad to hear that they will be coming back this fall with Season 6!Movie Review: From across the pond

When I discovered House when it was shown on Channel 5 in the UK I immediately liked the programme. Sky took over the rights here in the UK and we have been faithfully recording Season 5, but there is never enough time to watch them, so I purchased the region 1 DVDs before the season has finished here, and I'm glad I did. I haven't watched the whole season yet, but it hasn't disappointed up to now. The change in the relationship between House and Wilson is 'interesting'. The cases are as obscure as in previous seasons, with possibly more credibility, except possibly for the ectopic pregnancy scenario, I am a nurse in the Emergency Department, and if a woman presents with abdominal pain and is positively pregnant then we always suspect ectopic pregnancy.
I am looking forward to viewing the remainder of the series.
Movie Review: Exceeds Expectations

With a show as popular as this one, it would be tempting for writers to continue following the same formula for success. Instead, the writers of "House" continue to raise the stakes. Plot is almost always moving forward, characters are almost always being developed. This season, which includes the death of House's father, the suicide of one of his team members, and House's hallucinations and total breakdown, is one of the best. There's not much on television that I consider worthwhile - so much is pure entertainment with no intellect, no art, and nothing to ponder when an episode ends. This series is an exception. I highly recommend this series, and this season in particular. It's worth owning to watch over and over again.Movie Review: Challenging and engaging!

I found myself pulled once more into this storyline by the masterful writing and engaging characters. They are full-bodied, well-established personae. Look for a real heart-tugging twist toward the middle of the season. Some plot changes and story developments really make you think, challenge you in those moral or ethical "gray areas," and encourage you to get emotionally involved in the story. While I think there isn't but one character in the story I truly admire, Doctor Kutner, each character certainly has many admirable traits and valuable insight into what is and isn't important in life. This show has truly caused me to confront principles I held inviolate and helped me refine my outlook on life. What a gem!
