Movie Review: Great movie with a good transfer
Summary: 5 Stars
The movie is fantastic, I think it is the best of all of the skiing/snowboarding movies. You can definitely see that the folks who made "Out Cold" (also good) saw this movie. It is almost a "Caddyshack" of the slopes in a way, with the "slobs vs. the snobs" theme running through it. Some of the actual skiing scenes and the cinematography that go along with them are amazing and hold up quite well today.
The synth music is cheesy at times but it was reflective of the time, sort of charming actually. The acting is suspect at times, but overall the characters are compelling and funny at the same time. The girl who plays "Sunny" is great, and weirdly seems to have disappeared from the movie biz since.
I had a VHS copy of the movie but it was unwatchable due to the horrible quality of the sound track. The DVD may be pan and scan but overall the transfer is very clean and the sound is good.
Movie Review: What to watch before you ski the next day!

This movie is a classic! Used to watch it every friday night in the 80's before skiing the weekend in Tahoe. Since had lost the vhs tape. Could not beleive this is in DVD. The quality is not as high as it should be, you can tell it was taken from film to dvd and sound could be improved.
Cannot forget the International Chinese Downhill... and the song by Mitch Ryder "when you were mine" can't be found anywhere on line so this is your chance to get that classic sung by the Detroit Wheels.
Careful after watching this movie, your skiing ability will not actually increase but your enthusiasim for it will!
Good footage of Squaw Valley before the skate rink fell in and the awesome double diamond runs.
Movie Review: A classic for the Genre

This movie rules! It is tacky, corny, slapstick, juvenile, gratuitous and every other quality that endears it to my generation. As a skier of the seventies, I can look at this and laugh at myself. Offer up a quote from this movie and most folks in their thirties will know just what you mean. The acting is awful. The humour is basic. The plot can be summed up in two sentences. But it is part of americana and is worthy of the title "Best Ski Movie Ever", (Sorry TJ Burke).Movie Review: Nephews very happy

When my husband and I watched this movie it was with my nephews who were very young and probably should have not been watching it. They really remember the hot tub scene and seeing boobs for the first time. They are now both in their 30s and I thought this was an excellent gift. On Christmas eve when they opened their packages they couldn't believe it. The movies are great and thank you for making a merry Christmas.Movie Review: Ski Naked!

If you like to ski and party this is a classic. Not only are the ski scenes great, but if you've been around awhile you'll get a kick out of the equipment we use to use. My wife and I first went to Squaw Valley before we were married, and love to pick out places we remember. We watch this movie before every ski trip!
