Movie Review: Four Excellent Classic Movies
Summary: 5 Stars
These are three great movies
and one very good movie.
A value price, and you get
what you payed for,
less than great quality
video and audio.
If you wish to sample these movies,
this DVD is one way to do it,
but if you like one or more of them,
you will want a superior version.
nota bene: The description of
"The Last Man On Earth"
on the box is for a different
movie than that which is on
the disc.
The one on the disc
is the adaptation
of the classic story,
"I am Legend", by Matheson,
which I already have on DVD.
I was disappointed by
the deceptive marketing.
Among the greatest
horror movies ever:
"Carnival Of Souls"
The video quality leaves a lot
to be desired, but if you
have never seen this movie,
you are in for a treat.
"The Last Man On Earth"
Ditto.
"White Zombie"
Ditto.
While excellent,
I didn't like it as much
as I did the first two
and I don't think that it is
in the same league.
The very good movie:
"Chamber Of Horrors"
Regardless of the name,
this is not a horror film
properly speaking, it is a mystery,
and a pretty good one of its type,
with good, plot, settings
and characters.
These are all black and white,
full-screen movies.
