Movie Review: Hopeful and glorious

I am showing this to a Year 9 History class in Australia. They are engrossed in it, laughing at the funny scenes and being genuinely touched by the dramatic scenes. What an amazing film! After 20 years it still feels fresh and fantastic. One of the most extraordinary films I've ever seen. Hope and Glory takes me back to a time that was at once Britain's most difficult and its best. It depicts the British spirit at its most gloriest. I believe that Hope and Glory is one of the best films ever. You really see the London Blitz through the eyes of a ten year old. The comedy is real; the fun is excellent; the little spots of pathos are just right. This movie is great. I am 25 and I love it and I loved it when I was 8 and it came out... looking at WWII through the eyes of a child is exciting in a way. Its one of those rare war movies that doesn't center around soldiers but a normal family instead.
