Movie Reviews of Home for the HolidaysMovie Review: the best! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the most hilarious, in your face depiction of the "normal dysfunctional" family get-together ever. The casting, script and acting is so good that I never tire of the film. It is fast paced and witty to the core. I put it right up there with the classic, A Christmas Story--a must see for every holiday season. Even the teenagers in the family love it. My daughter asked for her own copy this year.
Movie Review: Wonderful! Summary: 5 Stars
I believe that this is one of the best holidays films ever!!!
A friend turned me on to it in 2001( Thank You Holly S.:)). For me this ranks right up there. A must see!!!
I relate to this film because quite honestly, this IS my family in a nutshell!!
Brillent Film!!!!
No, it isn't Christmas, but Thanksgiving, when all the drama happens anyway!!!!!!!!!
Movie Review: Wow Summary: 5 Stars
Jody Foster must have had hidden cameras stashed in my house to get ideas for this gem. I'm 33 and, according to Jody's commentary, I fall right into the crowd that understands this material. My wife and I thought this movie was hilarious. Charles Durning plays my father to a T! This movie does a magnificent job of depicting the hell and hilarity that is "The Holiday Season".
Movie Review: Hysterical Family Fun Summary: 5 Stars
Welcome to the most underrated holiday film ever. This movie has a vast array of laugh out loud characters from the clueless father right down to the spoiled brats that are their grandchildren. Jodie Foster directed this film and never got any kind of praise for it. I guarantee that you will have many laughs with this movie and will watch it for years to come.
Movie Review: It Hit Home for Me! Summary: 5 Stars
If you grew up in a middle-class working family, especially on the east coast, then you'll absolutely love this film! Home for the Holidays will make you laugh and ask yourself: "how in the world did I ever escape my upbringing - or did I?" The performances are almost too real - and the direction is perfect.
