i love this film macaulay culkin is a great actor and does great facial expressions...the plot as everyone must know by now is that an 8 year boy named kevin gets left behind at home as the family are goin' on holiday...and the burgulars that come too pay kevin a christmas visit have already been run to check the joint out as policeman..so kevin fills the house with traps yadda yadda yadda you get what i'm on about..get the film and forget about what "JD" OR "JB" they sucked too much dick and need to get a sense of humour so what if it doesn't all add up it's still a fantastic film so stop being an...polictal correctness weed will ya?
Movie Review: We learn it's funny when someone falls down or gets seriously hurt Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very funny movie from John Hughes (Breakfast Club, Maid in Manhattan). It's a bit like a cartoon tho in that what we learn from watching, is that, it's funny when someone falls down or gets seriously hurt.
This is a great movie especially when judged by the number of laughs it earns. Can it be? 16 years ago that this movie came out? I dare say this is a Christmas Classic. A Christmas Classic that could be enjoyed any time of the year. I believe in the world of literature, what? 50 years must go by before a Novel can be judged a Classic? How long is the wait for a movie?
Movie Review: One of the all time greats Summary: 5 Stars
For me it just isn't Christmas without Home Alone. Every year I pull out Home Alone and watch it and it always puts me in the Christmas spirit. A classic film written and directed by John Hughes (Breakfast Club, Weird Science) and Staring Macaulay Culkin (Getting Even With Dad, My Girl), Daniel Stern (Celtic Pride, The Wonder Years) and Joe Peci (My Cousin Vinnie, Leathal Weapon) The movie is a christmas themed family flick with many laughs and warm fuzzy moments! One of the all time biggest box office successes and with good reason! No DVD collection is complete without this classic!
Movie Review: Christmas Classic!! Summary: 5 Stars
This movie has become one of my holiday favorites!
Macauley Culkin is hilarious as Kevin McAlister, a little boy who's family accidentally leaves him when they travel to Paris. His quick thinking and outrageous antics had me laughing out loud!
I also thought that Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern were really funny as the two burglars trying to break into the McAlister house. Their interactions with each other and with Culkin really made the movie, in my opinion!
Bottom line: This is a must-see, and a must-buy for any Christmas lover!
Movie Review: Laugh Alone or in Company Summary: 5 Stars
This is a side-splitting comedy with, naturally, touches of tenderness. It is simply hilarious how the burglars were unsuccessfully trying to victimize Macaulay Culkin. I guess people just like to see bad guys get hurt and look foolish. Does it mean that people are cruel? Don't ask me. All I know is that it looks funny in a movie. The romp around the house is the most memorable sequence in this film, and every time I watch, it looks funny. This original is better than the "Lost in New York" sequel, and I highly recommend it.
