Movie Reviews of Hitman (Unrated Edition)

Movie Review: Incredible action movie
Summary: 5 Stars

Given that I do not like the Hitman video game series, I had low expectations for this movie, but, WOW, was I proven wrong. This movie was incredibly well done and I could not believe that I could like a movie based off of a video game so much.

First of all, picturing Olyphant as Agent 47 seemed like too much to handle, given that he is a very serious actor in a role where he almost never talks, but he does a great job with the action and emotions, whether letting them out or holding them in. His acting in this movie is perfect because he comes across as so cold and determined and intelligent in his craft, and then immediately you see him with the gorgeous Olga Kurylenko, who tempts him to a little bit of fun and tries to loosen him up.

Kurylenko was another pleasant surprise from Hitman, as I had never heard of her before, other than that she did foreign films. She is easily one of the most physically attractive actresses out there, and she will be in the upcoming Bond film, so she definitely got her name/face out there with this movie.

If you're looking for a great action film with a phenomenal actor as the lead and a beautiful woman for some eye-candy, this is a perfect choice ;)

Movie Review: Thank god it's good.
Summary: 5 Stars

At first I was a little sceptical about this movie because from past experiences movies can rarely reflect the ambience or the content of the games. In order to reach a wider audience, movie makers usually tone down the action and adult content drastically.

Not so in this case, thankfully director created a very well adaptation of the game. Our hero, or antihero, may look a bit on the softer side but proves himself to be brutal and deadly when necessary. Also Ms. Olga Kurylenko shows us how brave and secure she is, even in Istanbul.

I'm not an avid fan but I played the latest two Hitman games, not so successfully if I might add, and this movie can very well be a part of any of them. Plot is just like a game, so are the locations and the action. Some purists may disagree but I can easily recommend this movie to the fans of the game.

This is how a game movie should be. Uwe, please watch this movie before you ruin another game movie for us.

Movie Review: Exciting Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

I didn't know at first if I would like this movie. After I watched the
movie I was well entertained. The lead character is a professional killer
who has been trained by the Organization. He is a professional killer who
makes his living by killing select targets for a high price. He is very good at what he does. There are several scenes where the Interpol police
and various police agencies attempt to capture or kill him. He shows himself to quick on his feet and impossible to kill. He leaves trails of
bodies behind him. He makes some daring escapes to get away from the authorities who are pursuing him. He is set up to be killed after he is
hired to kill the Russian President. Once again he evades death and capture. He earns his fee for his services. There is a surprise ending to
the story when he recieves aid from an unlikely source. Be sure to see this movie. You will be thoroughly entertained.

Movie Review: HITMAN is a killer
Summary: 5 Stars

Wednesday right after work, I decided to check out HITMAN the made from a video game movie.

Now I've seen the game played by a few guy friends and my son's friends and it looks like a fun game to play.

So I was pretty excited about seeing the movie, but I expectd chessinest or B Movie quality.

My expectations were squashed to bits from the minute the movie started. Great cinematography, great angles and great story.

Timothy Olyphant is DA'BOMB. I now have an appreciation for this actor and I wish he was lead in more movies (I already checked imdb and was upset he was secondary in upcoming films.)

The story was gripping and it was on of those movies that i was thinking about way after I left the theatre, even days later.

See this. See this twice because it's really really good and Timothy Olyphant has a new fan!

Movie Review: Well-done, mindless action.
Summary: 5 Stars

I've played a few video games in my time, but never this one. I knew nothing about it going in, so I cannot speak to whether or not the movie is true to the storyline of the game. What I can tell you is that the movie was light on dialogue and heavy on the action. And I really liked it.

Timothy Olyphant seemed relatively awkward cast as the lead, but the more I think about it, the more intentional that must have been. The movie's protagonist, Agent 47, was bred only to kill. Had he been more charismatic, it would have been less...for lack of a better term...believable. But that does not mean the movie lacks good action-movie one liners.

I will freely admit that this movie carried little appeal beyond "mindless shoot 'em up," but I like that type of movie, and Hitman was one of the better movies like that to come along recently.
