Movie Review: Hitch: Entertaining on every level.
Summary: 5 Stars
Hitch is a ladies' man. Or so he thought. He's got a PhD in love and he knows just how to create a slight bit of hope into the life of a man who just does not have the stuff. But the one person he can't help is himself, his name is Alex Hitchens, but you can call him Hitch. Will Smith was born destined to play this role, he expands his great horizon of rap, hip-hop, action and comedy movies into the romantic category. The beautiful and talented Eva Mendes plays the one woman who's falling in love with Alex Hitchens, and trying to ruin Hitch.
This hilarious, passionate and educational romance story is one for the ages. It ends up teaching all of us a lesson, not of how to impress women (even though I got a few helpful tips), but of the meaning of love and how difficult it is to achieve it.

This is a great story and the perfect vehicle for Will Smith to play the cool and world smart tutor for men who have no hope in the world of ever developing a relationship with a woman. Needless to say when he meets up with a hard as nails local gossip reporter all of his professional skils are tested to the limit ......
This is definitely a 'date' movie or one could say a 'chick flick' but trust me it's a hoot and the viewer never really knows wher in the world the story is going ...
It certainly has been a long time since I thoroughly enjoyed a great story, great movien and great acting ....

This is a very entertaining, amusing and outright funny film with heart. The trailers did not do this film justice. Will Smith is HITCH the "Date Doctor" for males who just want to get the girl of their dreams as is the case with Kevin James. Others clients are not so noble of heart. In the mean time HITCH is also trying to get the girl of his dreams. I liked this film immensely because the script is well thought out and the bottom line here is that these guys envision the girl of their dreams as someone they want to be with and love for the rest of their lives. HITCH's intentions are based on good old fashioned notions of what it means for a man to love a women and the commitment that goes with that.Movie Review: Charming and romantic

This film is a perfect "date" or anniversary movie. Will Smith is perfect as the date doctor who assists helpless other males find their perfect soulmate. And it is clear from early on that Smith is not just helping these other guys "score." He is only interested in assisting them in finding "love." So with all his knowledge, we find that he has problems when he finally falls in love himself. This film is cute, charming, touching -- all the things it should be. I recommend it highly. Also, I always thought that George Clooney was the new "Cary Grant," and he may indeed be. But Will Smith is another one. He is absolutely perfect at the smooth, sophisticated banter. This is the first time I've ever seen Will Smith in the lead on a romantic comedy. This was a long time in coming as he has managed to take the charcter of Alex Hitcheson and made it his own.
This movie will offer a lot of laugh out loud moments and the relationship between Hitch and Sara is very well done. The make-up of the cast was indeed crucial to this story and it was fun to see "the geek" (played by Kevin James) really get the girl and how Hitch (Will Smith) had to work for it.
This really is a feel good movie and one that will entertain while at the same time not insult the viewer.
