Movie Review: Great!!!
Summary: 5 Stars
I have wanted to see the movie and got to see it this past Memorial Day weekend; Will is just as charming and fine as he can be; Eve Mendes is a great breath of fresh air; Kevin James; well, he played his role to the hilt; Kind of stole the darn show if you asked me; Will is smooth as a date doctor hooking up otherwise average men with the woman of their dreams;And oh, is he good; But when he gets with Eve, oh boy, he forgets the rules, and when somehow, Eve's character finds out that this date doctor had somehow caused her best friend pain, it goes from bad to worse; I plan to get this on DVD no doubt; I love romantic comedies; My favorite part: Will Smith dangling keys at Kevin James for a practice kiss; Classic. Another favorite part, Will taking Eve to Ellis Island and finding out about her relative who first come to America and all; Smooth; real smooth. but when his shirt gets caught in the cab door, another classic moment indeed;Movie Review: Really enjoyed it

I really only saw 3 movies that were made in 2005 and all 3 were very good I thought. The others I watched were the 40 Year Old Virgin and also The Wedding Crashers. I liked this movie because Will Smith did a very good job against. He plays a dude who was once a huge looser and then becomes Mr. Hip and gives men tips on how to pick up women as relationships and not just sex.He goes to talk to a guy Kevin James who wants a women who is a smart heiress that is a tributary for the company that he works for. He is a really big dork and Will gets him hooked up. Meanwhile Will falls for a girl that is a newspaper worker. He is not Mr.Smooth he fails on a date with her at Ellis Island and also at a cookout. She finds out that he sets up men with women and thinks it is just about sex but it is not that at all.
So Will gets her back by being a huge moron instead of smooth.

I have to say I have always enjoyed Will Smith, but this is one of his best roles. A special romantic comedy that most couples will love. An excellent date movie. I think even kids will probably find parts of this amusing. His co-star Eva Mendes is not only beautiful, but does a wonderful performance as his romantic interest that very much has a mind of her own. Support roles by Kevin James and others are outstanding and make this an above par look at the rigors of dating. It covers all the bases of how to pick someone up without pickup lines to dancing without looking like a fool. If you enjoy the romantic movies without the fluff like "50 First Dates", you should like this one. This movie will make you laugh and cry. It genuinely touches the heart and funny bone. Great acting, script, locations, camera work, and music make this a keeper. Get it!Movie Review: Will Smith is a one of a kind

What can you say about Will Smith? He can do it all. He can fight aliens, robots, true love, and still always bring his own identity to the big screen. If there was ever a more diverse actor, I'm not sure who it is. He is absolutely fabulous. This movie was a true mix of emotions. You can watch Will as he replays what so many of us have been threw, putting up the invisible wall so we never get hurt again. But then there is always that one person that will bust it down. This movie has a unique twist on comedy, love, and the never ending search for something you feel is out of reach. And so many of us can relate to this movie it was just fabulously plotted, well scripted, and done perfectly. By far I feel it is Will Smith's best work yet. The only thing I wish they would have done was include Tim McGraw's hit song, "My Best Friend".Movie Review: Finally something in this genre written well & funny

Because of my mother and my sister, I've watched movies of the "chick-flick" genre for years and I haven't seen a better one than this one. Usually, the chick flick sacrfices quality writing, actual laughs and realism, but this one doesn't. I almost thought it would give in at the end to sappiness, but it held steadfast, though walking a line.
Kevin James is excellent as a guy who has his faults, but still shoots for the great girl. Will Smith is better than I thought he would be, showing some versatility as the date doctor. Eva Mendes does a capable job as a gossip columnist who goes for the date doctor without knowing he is the date doctor.
There are genuine laugs in this film, it's pretty realistic and enjoyable. I think people of all different types will still enjoy this great movie.
