Movie Review: Very innovative and original sequel

If you are expecting a generic slasher sequel in this series, avoid this movie and buy Hellraiser 3 instead. Hellraiser:Inferno takes the overall concept of Hellraiser in a new direction. This movie is more of a crime drama than a slasher flick. This is the first movie since the original that explores the decisions of the main character instead of simply throwing gore and eye candy at the audience. There is a fair amount of gore in this film, but not nearly as much as in the earlier films. What made the Cenobites so interesting in the original Hellraiser was that they didn't get so much coverage in the film and were far more creepy & mysterious. This one keeps that same thought in mind and was far more enjoyable to me because of it. I recommend this film to those who are fans of the original Hellraiser more than its other sequels.Movie Review: Hellraiser: Inferno...Easily the best Hellraiser film

Well, put away your 3D glasses and don't expect the typical bad horror movie garbage. Hellraiser is back from the dead and it looks like the writers and directors have set it back on track. And it's a good thing too, because after the last two bastardizations of the Hellraiser concept (Hell on Earth - puke, and Bloodlines - bad) Pinhead is back and isnt' this would-be, world-dominator type that the last two movies made him out to be. I regret not seeing any of the originals (other than The Chatterer - of course there's only half of him) but honestly, this was some really clever thinking applied to cenobytes. You can't convince me otherwise (all you die-hard Hellraiser 3 & 4 fans - get a life, those two movies bit bigtime) that this film is anything but well thought out and that it contains a riveting ending. This one's a buyer.
Movie Review: Lives up to the first

This like all of the past Hellraiser was top of the line.Some may be dissapointed because it is not as gory as the first four films were, but the story line makes up for it.The way I have always veiwed the Hellraiser movies was that each was a differnt perspective on how the box effects the people around it.By this I mean 1 was centered around Frank.2 was about his neice Juley.3 was pinhead himself.And 4 was the box maker.The 5th is about a cop from our time, and his own personal hell.I belive this films shows you the perspective of one who is already trapped in the bow, but doesn't know it.By the time he realizes its to late.This is a must see movie.No Hellraiser collector should go without it.A+++++Movie Review: Well I absolutley loved it

I have sat in front of the tv as long as color came to air.I am happy to say that i have grown up with hellraiser over the years and to my knowledge the 5th chapter to the hellraiser legacy is by far certinally one of the best.GOLD medal going to the original HELLRAISER

the only 3 u will ever need without the disapointment.
certanly clive barker was scared to take up the challenge of making a 5th film due to his poor efforts with hell on earth and bloodline,(i mean common pin head in space ??)

Movie Review: One of the Best

My name is Cody and I just got through watching Hellraiser 5 Inferno. I think that this movie is one of the best films in the series. One and Two where the best of all time. Three was alright and the four one was like Halloween 3. Not really a point to it. In this one they confuse you so bad. I hated it until I finally realized what was going on. You just have to see it with an open mind to know what I'm talking about. Pinhead goes back to being a total mystery to the audience. When he is in though he is the old Pinhead that we have come to love. Even though the other Cenobites suck they were still good. Out of five points I give this one a five. Cody D. Seaton
