Movie Review: Noley Thornton Is Adorable and A Good Actress Too!
Summary: 5 Stars
Heidi is a wonderful movie. I never read the book but I have seen movie and I think Noley Thornton is absolutely adorable! I have liked her ever since seeing her on episodes of Star Trek The Next Generation and Star Trek Deep Space Nine and I was happy to find out she was in this movie playing Heidi. By the way, I just read a review by a guy referring to other Heidi movies and talking about the infamous Heidi game in 1968 in which an important NFL football was being played and the TV station went to a commercial and instead of going back to the football game started showing a Heidi movie and there was a huge uproar about that but sorry to sound mean but that reviewer mistakenly said it was the old Shirley Temple movie when it was actually the 1968 made for television remake of Heidi that was part of the whole Heidi/football snafu. Sorry to sound like a nitpicker but I just think that reviewer should have done some research before he posted that it was the Heidi movie that starred Shirley Temple because he was WRONG!Movie Review: Why don't they make good movies like this anymore?

My grandmother was born and raised in Switzerland, moving over to America after WW2. She loved the story of Heidi and bought me a copy of the book while I was still very young. I had seen the Shirley Temple version and while I love Shirley Temple, I really don't think it compares to this version.
I think what makes this movie so great is that it is untarnished by the "cutsiness" that Disney throws into all their movies today. It is a movie that both parents, children, grandparents, etc will all enjoy watching. Noley Thornton fits the role of Heidi perfectly, and I can remember right after seeing this that I proceeded to grow my hair as long as her's and wear it like a crown across my head, similar to the way she did.
I could go on and on about this movie...it is definitely one that any child from any generation would love.

'Heidi' is a wonderful movie which is filled with both laughter and tears. I appreciate the movie better than the book because it was nicely filmed and all of the actors did a wonderful job. I saw this movie on TV but unfortunately dubbed in sinhalese since it's our language. The person I admire the most in this movie is Jason Robards who did a wonderful job as the grumpy grandfather. Lexi Randall is the next person whom I like the most in this movie. The spoilt rich girl who panics and cries over little things and I belive that the role was so easy for her to act. And Noley Thornton did her job just as well as the others. The way she behaved with the impatient Klara was wonderful! Can we find this movie in Sri Lanka? If not I'll ask my aunt in USA to bring it for me when she comes to SriLanka. Exellent movie!Movie Review: Madhushani Premaratne from Sri Lanka

I have watched this movie dubbed in sinhalese because it's our language and I'm a Sri Lankan. All the actors and actressers did a wonderful job especially Lexi Randall, Noley Thornton, Jane Seymour and Jason Robards.Out of these people the person whom I like the most is Jason Robards. He is such a lovable person and his performance as the grumpy grandfather was outstanding. I too would like to accept him as my grandfather just as one of the other rewiers had said. The movie goes a bit slower until after Heidi visits Frankfurt. But anyway every bit was so enchanting that I have the desire to watch it again and I will have it bought by my aunt in USA this year.
