Movie Review: The Many Flames of Heat
Summary: 5 Stars
Heat offers textured characters in what otherwise would be a a "cops and robbers" movie. The networking of criminals and police is interesting in itself. Add the emotional toll taken on Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Val Kilmer, and Dennis Haysbert and their women, and the viewer sees the police and criminals as real people with real emotions. Even the coldest melt. Pacino's and DeNiro's characters meet one-on-one over coffee, and the arch-enemies reveal their mutual respect for one another--and their dedication to their craft. A classic scene.Movie Review: One of the best films of all time-stellar visuals, and performances!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Al Pacino and Robert Dinero absolutely SIZZLE in this film. Michael Mann adds his brand of visual seduction, as the film's "blue" look and atmospheric music and scenes add a spectacular feel to this film. The "cat and mouse" game is complicated by the fact that we learn about the personal lives of all lead characters, and it truly allows you to "cheer for the bad guy". The movie, minute by minute, is one of the best crime sagas ever created. Fanastic cinema, highly recommended!Movie Review: A must buy: I mean a MUST!!

I only rated this movie a 5, because there was not a 10.
Add this to your DVD collection, and enjoy a movie that will keep you guessing, and on the edge of your seat until the very end.
I'm no professional critic I admit, since a critic is a person who has no talent criticizing those who do.
Get the movie if you want to say "WOW," when the credits roll.
Movie Review: Mann is the Man!

What with Thief, Manhunter, Mohicans, Insider, Collateral, and even Miami Vice, it could be tres dificil to pick one. But Heat makes it easy. Mann proves you don't need complicated premises to show the story's complexity, he uses the characters to do that for him. And as a note, DeNero's perfomance is a beatifully tightly wound gem that shows the last time he really disappeared into a role.Movie Review: Action packed!!

This movie will keep you at the edge of your sofa. You'll need to hook up the surround sound to get the true effect of the gun fight scene which goes on for a good ten minutes or longer. A most memorable performance by Bob DeNiro, a true genius at his craft. A must have in your collection.
