Movie Review: One of my all time favorites
Summary: 5 Stars
An earlier review mentioned that business had changed over the years since this movie had been made. My response is that it's gotten even more ridiculous. Witness this scene from the movie where they are about to close a US plant and move production to Latin America...

Max Landsberger: No, but it's our side of the story. Lesson No.55: there are no truths, only stories.
Most of us have gotten used to being treated as company property since the time this was produced. It was the writing on the wall then but now it's standard operating procedure. And when it's no longer in their best interest, they let us go (A Timex, a lousy Timex). Profit has become more important than people or product. Although this movie was meant as satire, they nailed the corporate world and all it's self-righteous grandeur.
Pompous executives, mindless management and people at the bottom trying to survive. Even when they try to do the right thing they are faced with endless red tape and bureaucracy or they find out they've been pawns in someone elses game. Like Office Space, this is a movie for us little people that would like to win just once.
Take a look at Enron and the other financial and management disasters of our generation and you'll see this movie is more timely than ever. Very funny and very quotable. One more from Jane Seymour - "I wouldn't be much of an executive if I screwed my way to the bottom. Would I?".
