Movie Reviews of Happy Feet (Full Screen Edition)Movie Review: Impressed! Summary: 5 StarsI saw previews for this movie and thought it was cute. I was like, Oh yeah, I will have to see this movie. I did not know that the movie would be THIS good, though. I thought, 'yeah, it'll be a cute, funny movie without much substance in it.' WRONG. This movie is not only funny, it has substance. It has a strong message to it about accepting others (somehow recently things keep crossing my path that send that strong message.) Basically, in the movie, a Penguin is an outcast because he can not sing. His special talent is tap dancing. Well, I don't want to spoil the end of the movie, but Mumble's tap dancing plays an important role in the movie as you will see when you watch it. When you watch this movie, you will realize that outcasts are not bad. You might even learn a valuable lesson about reaching out to people and accepting people who may be different than you are. Who knows why they might be different? Maybe they were born that way. Sometimes people who are different have out-of-the box ideas that you may not even have thought of. What I have to say to you is that just because you are different does not mean that you are still not good. I highly recommend this movie to anyone of all ages and I hope they will not only make a sequel to this movie but make many others similar to this.
*PG-Mild frightening scenes
I personally think certain scenes in the movie may be frightening to those 4 and under. (There is one sudden scene where a leopard seal jumps out and tries to attack Mumble, which could be pretty unnerving since it is so sudden.)
Other than that, I find this to be a very good family movie worth paying theater price for (I paid night theater price for it, and it was worth it.) I will probably purchase this when it becomes available on DVD.
