Movie Review: charming and addictive
Summary: 5 Stars
Take a break from all the high budget special effects movies and enjoy a wonderfully charming movie with a heart and a brain. It's not your typical sugary sweet romance. Instead we're given a treat of quick and funny dialogue exchanges and a suspense factor that will keep you hooked til the end. Listening to a couple argue had never been so much fun. Tomei and D'Onofrio are great. I rented the movie on Netflix.com and couldn't bring myself to return it until I had my own copy.Movie Review: Sophisticated Story with twists and turns

I thought I was watching a drama, then I thought I was watching a science fiction, then I didn't know what I was watching. I enjoyed the thrill of not knowing what to think of the story itself because whether it was due to his mental illness or not was inconclusive even at the end.
Very good acting - especially I find the fighting/shouting scence of the couple excellent. Also visually artistic and interesting. I enjoyed the film.

Happy Accidents is billed as a romantic comedy, but this doesn't really do the film justice. Too many romantic comedies require little more than a vegetative state of awareness in order to be understood. Happy Accidents will appeal to those who appreciate a more cerebral experience without sacrificing comedy and fun. Both Vincent D'Onofrio and Marisa Tomei give delightful performances. I am a huge fan of Vincent D'onofrio, but also of Sam Deed, the character he plays in this movie. I am married to a hopeless romantic myself, so I know men like Sam do exist but they are extremely rare. The plot is a little strange, but hey! Who cares? If you want to watch a movie that leaves you with a smile on your face and hope for the relationships between men and women, then buy this one. I saw this as a "happy accident". my roommate left it in the wrong case, so thinking I was watching "goodfellas" for the millionth time, I got a bit confused when Marisa Tomei was in the credits. Being lazy at heart, I left it in the DVD player anyway and found a really great movie. I had never heard of it while it was at the theatres, but TRUST ME, this is one great flick!! More than your average Chick Flick!
