Movie Review: Great music for all ages!
Summary: 5 Stars
We saw this a couple of years ago on Direct TV. Not having been exposed to Hanson (and a geriatric at age 30, compared to their teenage fan base), I put it on since there was nothing else on tv and was literally blown away. I was hooked! You've already read the previous reviews talking about the raw talent of this band and it is so true. I had to show my husband, who is also a musician and even he loves it and he is pretty hard to please musically. What can I say - it's pure rock & roll in an age where musicians just don't have to have much real talent anymore - just a processed voice and some slick dance moves. How refreshing to find some "old school" rock and roll.
Two years later, we bought this dvd and still love it just as much as a few years ago. We thought our 18 month old twins would enjoy it and want them to be exposed to more than just Raffi! They LOVE it and now represent the youngest Hanson fanbase. We even had to buy all their albums since the twins are constantly requesting "Hasson" in the car. They dance to the music and they try to sing along (especially "MMMMMBop" and "Wish that I was There" - their two fav's).
I showed it to my Dad when he was here last and am proud to say that even he thought they were very good! What is so great about this dvd is that they sound so fabulous live. We actually prefer a lot of the live versions over the studio ones since their raw edge and pure talent shines so brightly.
Buy this and you will watch it over and over again. All the brothers sing and mix it up and there is always something that you missed that you catch next time around! Enjoy! And rock on, Hanson!
Movie Review: Hanson rocking the Fillmore

I was actually in attendance at this concert, in addition to owning the DVD. I've seen hundreds of bands live, and Hanson has been the most intense. The passion they exert while playing their music is breathtaking, even though at the show itself it was kind of hard for me to get a great view of them playing since I was being squished in between screaming girls.Hanson's three part harmony over their catchy and mostly upbeat pop-rock music (which they wrote themselves) is so much more real than all the other pop that was coming out at around this time.
The only problem I have with this DVD is how they keep cutting to the really young girls singing along to the songs and making fools of themselves... I remember the girls around me looking much older than those girls, and I really could have done without those shots included constantly. Hanson themselves should have been the sole focus.
Hanson are born musicians, great songwriters, and I wish people would take them seriously instead of associating them with MMMBop because they have matured and really have great talent to offer the world.
Movie Review: It's gonna be uhh ....broken.

That's how little Zac back in 97 said in their video "Tulsa,Tokio & the Middle Of Nowhere" before their show in NYC and those words still rule today. They rocked the house and it was broken. Once you see this video your misconception about the seriousness of the band will not only disappear but will make YOU, believe it or not, a FAN. Hanson are not only artists they are true musicians that LOVE, EAT, BREATH and PRAY music and it shows. Their undeniable talent makes them shine and their powerfull voices and lyrics will make you wanna write. Of course you'll feel small next to them, but it's a great band to use as a model. I don't have to be 6 to like them i have to be myself to appreciate where the future of music is heading. Bottom line it's good period, give them the recognition they deserve.Movie Review: brings back memories

I saw Hanson twice on the This Time Around Tour and I must say that this video is the closest thing to being there if you weren't able to make a concert or two. I sat on my bed watching this video and couldn't help but to clap and sing along because it brought back so many great memories and feelings of the concerts I attended last year. The live loud music, the screaming fans, the harmonies...it's just a great video! In some ways the video is better than the actual concert because you don't have teenies holding up signs that block your veiw and you aren't sweating through your clothes. But it all comes down to the music and how amazing it is to watch these 3 gorgeous and extremely talented guys perform live!!! Just get the video people! The VHS version ONLY has the Filmore concert which inculdes 13 songs and the DVD version has the concert plus the TTA and If Only video. It says on the back of the DVD that there is TTA tour footage but their is NOT. It ONLY has the Fillmore concert and the 2 extra videos. If you don't have it I highly recommend getting it!! It's a great performance and you can see how happy they are when they perform. A funny part is after "in the city" when Taylor jumps and instead of landing back on the stage he falls in the crowd area. It's a great video, a little expensive but well worth it! =)
