Movie Reviews of Hannah and Her Sisters

Movie Review: My very favorite movie
Summary: 5 Stars

I have watched this movie at least 4 or 5 times a year since it came out. My video tape is faded but now I have the DVD version. It is as beautiful as the first time I saw it. There are no weak characters in this movie which is funny, touching and liberating. When I am and too old or too sick to get out of bed, I will watch Hannah and Her Sisters for comfort and an endorphin high. I love it.

Movie Review: The Best Woody Allen Film!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have seen this film numerous times, and decided to buy it so I could keep seeing it on and on. The actors of all ages are superb, beautiful NYC architecture, shot inside real NYC apartments, and the story is ingrossing. You won't be disappointed. This one has Woody in his usual hypochondriacal persona(probably the only aspect of the film I don't enjoy rewatching, but it's only short bits).

Movie Review: A Flawless Film
Summary: 5 Stars

Hannah & Her Sisters is, in my opinion, a flawless film. Balancing subtle humor with the trials of a disfunctional family, it places Hannah as the fulcrum surrounded by people who depend on her to manage their messy lives. The film flows on a bed of beautiful music through three years of Thanksgiving dinners, leaving the viewer with a feeling of warmth and satisfaction.

Movie Review: Great Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am not a typical Woody Allen fan, but I must say this was my favorite one of all his movies. Great script and plot line.

As a side note for Woody Allen fans, he used to do stand-up comedy early in his career and put out a CD called The Nightclub Years 1964-68 and he has a routine called The Moose that's drop dead funny.

Movie Review: Richly Human
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great story about how confusing human relationships can be and how people try to deal with the cards they are dealt in life. It's creative and witty, and don't forget smart!

One of WA's best films ever!
