Movie Review: Michael Myers Is The Lord of the Dead
Summary: 5 Stars

HAPPY THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY, MICHAEL MYERS!!!

"Halloween II" is one of the best sequels ever made in horror history. It begins exactly where the first one ended - Michael Myers is shot and falls from the balcony. Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasance reprise their roles as Laurie Strode and Dr. Sam Loomis. John Carpenter and Debra Hill wrote the suspenseful script and Rick Rosenthal provided great direction. The eerie trademark soundtrack from the original is also used in this superb sequel.

If you enjoy a high body count, you will enjoy "Halloween II." Michael Myers pursues Laurie Strode to the Haddonfield Memorial Hospital; he begins dispatching the entire staff within its sanitized, claustrophobic corridors. In this sequel, we learn why Michael Myers is intent on destroying Laurie. We also learn that Michael Myers is well versed in the ancient occult religion of Druidism.

Michael Myers is Samhain, the Lord of the Dead. He can't be killed because he is already dead. Satanic evilness has possessed his body and given it the illusion of life. Bullets and fire can not stop him.

This film is a must see for fans of high body count slasher flicks and horror films set at hospitals. "Visiting Hours" is also highly recommended.

Movie Review: Michael returns with 5 Stars

Yes the ones that started the series off are the best ones but, this one is not too far behind. This takes off right where the first one left off. Laurie being takin to the hospital with Michael right on her trail. Michael will stop at nothing and will kill everyone that gets in his way. He is EVIL on two legs. This movie, like the first one, still produces good scares without much gore at all. His emotionless mask still scares the hell outta me and the score still makes the hair on the back of my neck raise. The great thing about the Halloween movies are they aren't as far fetched as the FT13 series or NOES series. Michael slowly follows his prey where Jason or Freddy will be chasing someone one sec and then they will be right there the next sec. IMO Jason and Freddy are inferior to the superior Michael Myers. Michael just has more of a scary aspect to him. Anyways this movie is great and one that needs to be in your collection right next to the first one. Me on the otherhand have 3 different versions of the first one and all the rest of them (excluding part 3, which had no business even being in the series) in my collection. These are movies I grew up with and still watch when I want a good scare from time to time. PICK UP and ENJOY!!!!!!

Movie Review: Author, "Tales To Astonish" and "Raising Hell"
Summary: 5 Stars

The first time I saw Halloween II I thought director Rick Rosenthal showed too much of Michael, the direction was somewhat flat and only the John-Carpenter-directed scene of Michael walking through Haddonfield had the feel of the original. But another viewing recently showed me I--and other Halloween fans who read the reviews in newspapers--may have been wrong. Not only did Rosenthal keep Myers in the shadows for most of the movie, he also had Michael act as he did in the original; created classic moments of his own (Jamie Lee on the pavement screaming, Michael and the glass door, the ending in the O.R.); and set everything to a powerful, synth-heavy rendition of Carpenter's theme that still holds up today. There are a few silly moments--some of Loomis' dialogue--but ultimately, Halloween II is the second best film in the series (after the original), and superior to the Scream-like works that drew on the franchise for inspiration. Halloween II lets you see what can only be called the "original Michael" without convoluted subplots, too many "new relatives," wooden dialogue, scar-tissue-makeup (for him and Loomis), Thorn-tattoos and men-in-black, or an array of goofy looking masks.

Movie Review: Just Compare To All Horror Movie Sequels
Summary: 5 Stars

Halloween 2 is not a perfect sequel. However, when you compare it too all the sequels in the Halloween series and even in all the slasher series which all kind of ripped of the original Halloween, especiallly the friday the 13th series, you tell me if Halloween 2 is good or not. How many horror sequels do you see that starts directly after the previous installment, brings back the main characters and follows the same plot with some suprising information. All in all, let me just tell all halloween fans that there was not many other ways to have made Halloween 2 a better movie.

Pros:
Starts directly after the first halloween with same storyline.

All the main characters are brought back from the first.

Donald Peasance intensifying acting.

Creepy atmosphere at Hospital.

Jamie Lee Curtis's Scream Queen type acting.

Intensifying ending.

Cons:
Lacked the suspense of the original, where Michale Myers is shown a bit too much.

A little on the gory side.

Jamie Lee Curtis's role is a bit wasted as she spends alot time lying in a hospital bed.

Movie is shown a little too much inside Hospital.

Movie Review: 1981, BEST HORROR (GORE) SEQUAL EVER MADE... NOT LIKE MOST HORROR SEQUALS, HALLOWEEN II RULES!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Michael Meyers masks looks the way Michaels mask should, not like those horrible looking masks in those other ridiculous Halloween sequals. The story took place right after the first Halloween. Rick Rosenthal did an excellent job directing Halloween II. Jamie Lee Curtis is back for this second movie and Lance Guest plays a beleivable warm hearted boyfriend to Jamie Lee Curtis. Donald Pleasence steals the show as he plays a brilliant ambiguos Dr. Sam Loomis obsessed with the capture or death of masked maniac Michael Meyers. The music score created by John Carpenter with the help of Alan Howarth is incredible. Halloween II is faster paced than its original. Halloween II came out in 1981 during the age of gore (1978-1983) when horror directors cared about their movies as well as their sequals. The murders were more sharp, more realistic than the original Halloween. Halloween II is septic and cold, it held nothing back. If you like horror flicks but dont like their sequals you will enjoy Halloween II. It stands up to its predecessor very well. Enough
