Movie Review: One of my favorite movies

I have had to purchase this dvd a few times over, because I keep letting people borrow mine, and they never return it! This is one of my all-time favorite movies. Shirley Maclaine is wonderful as Tess, a strong, smart woman who not everyone understands or appreciates - even Nick Cage's character at first. But they grow to understand, love and respect one another. Gives you hope for people! You won't be disappointed.Movie Review: Guarding Tess

One of my favorite movies. A real classic with Shirley MacLaine. She doesn't miss a beat. Great performances and excellent story line. Saw this movie at the theatres, knew I wanted to purchase it. This is the film that made me like Nicolas Cage. He and Maclaine are terrific as the protector and retired First Lady who must maintain a working relationship despite their opposing views. Lots of amusing character revelations, and an increasingly absorbing pace. I watched the ending again and again because I liked it so much.Movie Review: a great team

I thought this movie was very good. It was revealing as far as what happens after it's all gone. But there was sooo much good clean humor in it, as well as a very interesting plot. The loaltyrespect portrayed for Tess, as well as the entire group, was like family! Great casting, too.
