Movie Review: I can give you........ diseases
Summary: 5 Stars
Gremlins 2 The New Batch is great because it breaks the mold for most sequels in that it doesn't suck and improves on the original. The Gremlins themselves are even scarier thanks to genetic engineering, but are even more hilarious than before. They balanced horror and comedy brilliantly in this movie. Also the cameos were brilliant, from John Astin to Hulk Hogan.
An 80's type Donald Trump owns the 'Clamp' building. You got to love his logo, a big 'C' squishing the earth. Anyway through a series of unfortunate events in which Gizmo multiplies from a broken water fountain, the Gremlins overtake the building and every and any mayhem you can imagine ensues.
Plus we have the great Chritsopher Lee as a genetic scientist working in the building. When the Gremlins drink his experimetal liquids, we have brain Gremlins, vegetable Gremlins, bat Gremlins, and my favorite, the spider Gremlin.
This is a fun movie and not too scary for the kids.

I'm not saying this just because I am a New Yorker, but GREMLINS 2--THE NEW BATCH is slightly better than the original. First, it's a much less mean-spirited film than the first (which I also gave five stars, but for different reasons). Just the fact that a character who was crushed to death in the first film, shows up in the sequel (wearing a small cast) because he really was likeable, shows that Joe Dante and the scriptwriters were going into this film for the fun of it. Second, the casting was flawless. Whoever chose Tony Randall to do the voice of the strangely-William F. Buckley-sounding, intellectual gremlin was responding to nothing short of divine inspiration. Everyone involved in this production had their hearts in the right places and the effect shows. GREMLINS 2--THE NEW BATCH is an astounding piece of comic fantasy and horror that should endure.Movie Review: Great DVD!!!! Better then the 1st IMO...and heres an EGG!!!!

Gremlins 2. One of the very few seaqulls thats as good as the original... possibly better! depending on who you ask?I wont waste your time with a review, i'm sure theres plenty of them already... but i will say, if you own this DVD and feel a little disapointed that it is the movie release version, and not the telivision version? Then I have some good news for you, if you havent already discovered this?
If you go to the special features, go down and highlight the GAG REEL, then press right -> and you should have highlighted the gremlins hands...push OK and you can veiw the scene from the video version where the gremlins take over the movie, and go into the John Wayne film ..ect, instead of the bit where Hulk Hogan tells the gremlins off! So those of you who where disapointed that wasnt included....well, it is! and thats how to find it!!!!
Movie Review: COOLEST MOVIE EVER!!!

I really liked the old Gremlins a lot but this is even better. Gizmo is once again a lovable hero. This time the Gremlins are more computer enhanced and look better. One idea that I thought was cool for this movie was a bunch of different Gremlins. There's the vegetable gremlin, the bat gremlin, the spider gremlin and a bunch of other wacky ones. Another thing that I liked about this movie was that their "evil doings" were more lighthearted than in the first. In the first one, their deeds were violent and lifethreatening but at the same time funny. In this one they're all goofy and cartoonish. I really think that these movies are the best!!Movie Review: My kids love this movie

I have a 3 & 6yr olds and they really like this movie. They request it over and over. They already have Gremlins 1 and this one is even funnier. It's not scary at all. The kids jump every now and then at the excitement of seeing the little monsters pop out but they know that they are not real and only make believe. You don't need to have seen Gremlins 1 to understand Gremlins 2. They are two different stories. This is a very old movie so there is not a lot of suspense and thrill. Just a nice little monster movie.
