Movie Review: An excellent eery horror film (3 1/2 our of 4)
Summary: 5 Stars
As a horror fan, I couldn't have been more happy with Grace. If you're looking for Hostel or some other generic killing spree horror movie then this isn't for you. BUT if you want a genre film that recalls what made movies like The Shinning and Rosemary's Baby so great, the slow creepy build up, then this is for you. This is gets under your skin with its imagery and its ideas on humanity- every one of the characters only looks out for their own interested. There's not a death scene every five minutes and its not a gore fest, but its down right creepy. Its not a perfect movie, but its one that I love and will continue to revisit (especially on Halloween) in the years to come. This is low budget so at times you can feel like the film didn't have much cash backing it, but the great craftsmanship shows that it had true talents working behind the scenes. Buy this, watch it with some friends who aren't interested in making their own commentary track during the movie and then you'll have actually shared a good horror film- which are just too hard to come by nowadays.
