Movie Review: Good Blu-Ray Transfer

You all know the plot of Goodfellas; so what makes this worth getting on Blu-Ray? This is a great transfer to Blu-Ray - with the Aspect Ratio at 1.85:1 this movie fills the entire screen of a typical LCD/plasma. Watching it again was like watching it for the first time. The colors were brighter and the picture sharper. A must have to start your Blu-Ray collection.Movie Review: 1.78 to 1?

Hard to understand why Warner would not release Goodfellas in the full 1.85 to 1 aspect ratio that was originally shown in theaters, instead opting to crop it to 1.78 to 1. No excuses for messing with the original aspect ratio of any movie, let alone a classic one like Goodfellas.Movie Review: Goodfellas

This Blu-ray looks and sounds incredible on a HDTV. I also have the DVD version but will no longer watch it when I have this beautiful replication around.
