Movie Review: " Gone Fishin "
Summary: 5 Stars
"Gone Fishin'" stars Danny Glover as Gus and Joe Pesci as Joe do a fantastic job of bringing to life two childhood buddies who are imbarking on a "relaxing" fishing trip. Things begin to go terribly wrong for gus and joe from the very start as they suffer terrible setbacks and mishaps which they overcome with childlike innocense. The chemistry between these two established hollywood greats, Glover and Pesci, is the best since Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. "Gone Fishin'" is the greatest family film we've seen in years and will remain one of my all time favorites. My whole family from Grandparents to Grandchildren have viewed it dozens of times and it still creates fits of nonstop laughter from everyone. This DVD is a must for everyones video library. Hilarious, a breath taking rib buster.

Danny Glover and Joe Pesci (who could have used their Lethal Weapon series buddy Mel Gibson in here) star as slow-witted friends who take their dream fishing vacation in the Florida Everglades and end up having a series of disasters. Trouble is, director Christopher Cain can't get a handle on any of the comedy essentials for a project such as this. The result is a badly timed, badly toned, unfunny movie wasting a lot of great talent across the board. --Tom Keogh
