Movie Reviews of Godsmack - ChangesMovie Review: A good DVD with one flaw Summary: 4 Stars
I agree with most of the other reviewers on this title, but there is one thing that is annoying about it. You do have the capability of watching just the performances without the documentary footage, however, the performances have a gap after each song. This is because they have set the menu up where all of the songs are one chapter with the individual songs being titles within that chapter. This means that you lose the feeling of a live show somewhat because each song ends and then your player will have about a 2-3 second break as it jumps to the next song. This would not be such a big deal except that some of the songs go right into each other and it really detracts from the flow of the show. They really should go back in and re-edit the footage where it flows seamlessly as it does on the Godsmack-Live DVD. With that said, the footage and sound quality are great overall and I would have probably given it 5 stars if not for the annoying editing of the performances.
Movie Review: rocks Summary: 4 Stars
This DVD is by far the best. The DTS 5.1 is excellent. I highly recommend good speaks though, otherwise there's no point to the surround sound option. As for the songs all are good especially the drum solo. Entertaining tidbits about the band. You can watch the show uninterrupted by chosing the songs from the start. Otherwise the movie will play in addition to the concert footage when you just select the play movie option.
Movie Review: Very good DVD...Great Drumming Summary: 4 Stars
Nice mixture of interviews, behind the scenes, and live stuff. You come away knowing who this band is. Cool group of guys who know how to deliver a great live show. More bands should do dvds like this. The drumming is sensational. The drum "skit" is worth the DVD. Sully does it all. Vocals and stuff. Highly recommend.
Movie Review: Godsmack Kicks Butt Summary: 4 Stars
Great DVD. Good concert footage, good sound. Loved the behind the scenes and interview footage.
Movie Review: It's ok but... Summary: 3 Stars
It'a alright. Decent production, not counting the fact that it was an entire show that got completly butchered. 2 songs weren't even whole, and something tells me that the band didn't play them that way at the show in Philly! Voodoo was cut after 15-30 seconds. The songs Whatever was only shown near the end of the song, so you only get to see about 1 minute, or less of the song. Sully was the only one in the band I feel that wasn't putting forth the effort. What happened to all Sully's anger? Did he lose it when he had his daughter? I'm very dissapointed in this dvd. I even saw them live with Metallica and they were better than this. My 3 stars go to the product packaging, it's very professional looking. The band should either put out or get out in my opinion.
