Movie Reviews of Go (Special Edition)

Movie Review: Not A Teen Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

First thing I want to say is that THIS IS NOT A TEEN MOVIE. These are young adults doing young adult things-going to raves, experiencing the joys and not so many joys of being an adult. Definitely a slacker movie, and it has really no redeeming characters or morals, which is fun. The only things to learn is not to take too many Ecstacy pills and what not to do in the Champagne Room at a strip club (oh, and don't eat the shrimp at a buffet).

It's more the ride than the destination. I've tried to set my DVD player to shuffle to see if it will work, but this movie already so crazy you won't need it.

Take a Magic Carpet ride and GO!

Movie Review: Highly entertaining movie, brilliant feature-packed DVD.
Summary: 5 Stars

I highly recommend Go to anyone who likes any or all of the following movies: Pulp Fiction; Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels; Very Bad Things. Go is another movie in the crime-comedy genre, although that's all I will suggest about the content; I had no idea what to expect when I watched Go for first time and I loved it. The DVD picture and sound quality is brilliant and it contains tons of extras (director's and editor's commentary, trailer, making-of documentary, music videos to three catchy songs from the soundtrack, and 14 deleted scenes/outtakes). Here's another suggestion: don't expect Go to be an imitation of Pulp Fiction. It isn't.

Movie Review: Go get it
Summary: 5 Stars

"Go" was a truly underappreciated gem that didn't get nearly the audience it deserved. Calling it a "Gen X Pulp Fiction" does not quite do it justice. The out of sequence timing is much more intricate here and the characters are actually more likable. The amazing Sarah Polley gets the John Travolta role as the character whose story holds the narative together. Polley is one of the best young actresses working today. Actually, the whole cast is uniformly excellent and believable in their roles. Overall, this is the best film thus far to walk in the footsteps of "Pulp Fiction," and it also has more heart.

Movie Review: Best Of 99
Summary: 5 Stars

All I can say is that you are in for a great movie. Sit down...and relax. This movie is great in all differentways, hilarious scenes and also the music is pretty freaky at times if you are screwed up enough:) this movie is probably my favorite of all time. The movie is fast paced which is what I like usually. The music fits the movie perfectly and the movie shows everything of the story. The movie is frequently hilarious and more often than not very interesting(but mostly funny:) Oh well I think I will watch it again:) Also the dvd is really good, the picture quality and the sound quality are great. The extras are pretty good too. END

Movie Review: One of the best of the disjointed
Summary: 5 Stars

If you like movies like Pulp Fiction and Two Days in the Valley, you'll really like Go!

Set over a 24 hour period, with very smartly overlapping plot lines and very well written. The slackers in this movie bring it up to a whole new level. Vegas, LA, grocery stores, strip clubs, raves, and casinos all set the backdrops of this story within a story within a...

The acting is great. Katie Holms, Sarah Polly, Tim Olyphant just to name a few people, take this from where it could have ended up...Obscure Goofball movie...to where it should be, on every shelf in every collection of people who enjoy great movies.
