Movie Reviews of Go (Special Edition)

Movie Review: Go see it
Summary: 5 Stars

The has to be one of the most original films of the year. The acting is brilliant which each charachter containing so much depth and style. It is a pulp fiction style movie in which the lives of young american delinguents are traced back to one outrageous night. Each charachter gets mixed up in different kind of troubles including drugs, shootings ,robbery and murder. Then they are all linked together in the story. The same director also made "swingers", another classic movie and if you liked that you will be blown away by this. The extra features included are the best i have ever seen. There are 14 deleted scened including different endings and mistakes that were made by the actors. Also included are three music videos including steal my sunshine by Len. There are behind the scenes feacturette and commentery by the director. The main menu is also very slick. Buy this now for god sake. A true clssic

Movie Review: Don't Stop -- GO and get this Movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

A film similar to Pulp Fiction, "Go" definately is much more hipper due to an excellent young cast, and an excellent script. The first part of the trilogy titled "Ronna," highlights the life of a checkout-girl turned overnight drug dealer. The second part "Simon" documents a road-trip by four friends to Las Vegas and the troubles they get into. The third part "Adam and Zac" follows the relationship between two closeted gay-actors and the cop who busted them for drugs. Great performances from Katie Holmes, Timothy Olyphant, Sara Polley, Taye Diggs, and Breckin Meyer boosts the films witty script. Two scenes you should follow closely are the scenes where Todd Gaines (Olyphant) is chatting on the phone while Claire (Holmes) is in the room. His answers correspond to Simon's questions in the second part. Overall an excellent film.

Movie Review: '90s Easy Rider
Summary: 5 Stars

Great film. Makes fun of Generation X (or is it Y?); turns the self-important cinema verite of MTV's "Real World" on its head (it's about time), and adds a looping story line sure to frustrate linear thinkers. There's plenty of blood, violence and new-fashioned "sexual situations," all done just about perfectly. The movie's compared to Pulp Fiction but is MUCH less self-conscious. I didn't miss Tarantino's typical narcissistic screenplay. The acting is straight and believable. Compare Katie Holmes' performance here to Sarah Gellar's in "Cruel Intentions." Holmes is the star in the making. I have to admit, I was reluctant to see this film, after the director's earlier effort, "Swingers," which fell apart halfway through. One other plus: the DVD extras are great, and the soundtrack (also available from Amazon) kicks.

Movie Review: Unexpected-Fun and Smart
Summary: 5 Stars

I won't bore you with the story line as it is repeated several times by many other reviewers. I will tell you that this movie has an ingenious story line that keeps you guessing, the only problem is, the true value of the movie comes by knowing very little about it and not knowing what to expect, once you've seen it, the surprises aren't as good anymore. The initial viewing of this movie is fantastic though. Keeps you guessing and wanting more. The last line was perfectly chosen and sums it all up.

Watching the outtakes really gives me appreciation for the actors and just how tough it would be to pull off. Another note, this movie was picked up by the big Hollywood folks after it was complete, which gives it a gritty 'real movie' feel. Not full of all of that Hollywood junk we're all so used too.

Movie Review: GO pleasantly surprised me!
Summary: 5 Stars

Go is very much like "pulp fiction",but in a good way.It is very fast-paced and i have always loved movies that go with different people's point of views and this movie did a brilliant job doing just that.I especially liked scott wolf and jay mohr's characters (even though personally i liked the second story the best)But every story was a treat to watch and i absolutely love the way that they all connect towards the end. Some people refer to this as a black comedy but to me this is just a plain comedy. And if you like this movie i recommend "swingers"(by the same director).Either way there is no way you can be disappointed by this movie.(and as an extra treat,on dvd,you can see it in wide screen or full screen and it also includes 14 extra scenes.)
