I saw this movie many years ago as a teen in high school and read the book 3 times it has stuck with me all my life now 43 I shared this movie with my teen daughters in hopes it would affect them in the same way it did me it was a great learning exprence for me.Movie Review: Reminds me of high school!

I'm glad I finally found this. I read the book and first saw the movie when in high school. I totally forgot that William Shatner was the dad! I enjoyed watching it again. Now I have to find The Death of Ritchie (lol).Movie Review: woah!!!this movie was great!!!!!

as a young woman living in the projects and i see all this stuff that alice did...i am glad that after reading the book and and seeing the movie i have changed my ways...thanx alice..=0) Review: A well-made story of teenage drug abuse.Summary: 5 Stars This is very good adaptation of the book. The acting, script, and direction are first rate. William Shatner, Andy Griffith, Mackenzie Phillips and Wendell Burton are among the cast.
