Movie Review: MY FAVORITE ELVIS MOVIE!!!!

This is by far my favorite Elvis movie to date. It's just such a fun spring break movie with girls, beaches and most importantly, Elvis. I have been watching this movie since I was kid. My grandmother was a huge fan and loved watching his movies and got me into, not only his music but also his movies. I have been searching over the last few years for this on DVD. And now the day has finally come, it's here YEAH!!!!Movie Review: GIRL HAPPY-ONE OF THE MOST ENTERTAINING MOVIES EVER!!!

I love every second of this film. Elvis is at his peak and Shelley Fabares is at her most beautiful. The supporting cast is also great: Gary Crosby, Jimmy Hawkins, Joby Baker, Nita Talbot, Harold J. Stone, Chris Noel, Mary Ann Mobley. Every song is great and the chemistry between Elvis & Shelley really shows strong here. No Elvis movie collection should be complete without his best film. I am a huge fan of Elvis Presley. I have been trying to get all of his movies on DVD. I had a hard time finding Girl Happy which is one of my favorite movies of his. I was told a year ago that it had not been out yet on DVD. I have it on VHS but want to get them all on DVD. I finally found it. If you love Elvis then you will love this movie and all of the others. I am thrilled that I purchased this DVD. If you are an Elvis fan, you can't go wrong. Some of the acting is bad, but that is in about every movie the man made. But it is fun, light music, who else can get away with picking up a guitar & just start playing it for no reason. Elvis is the only one in my book, except for Chris Isaak (who comes in second).

I've always been a fan of Elvis movies. This is by far one of his better outings (also Wild in the Country). The storyline is a little cheesy but the music makes up for it.
"Puppet on a String" and "Girl Happy" still make me tap my feet 40 years later.
For asny true Elvis fan this is a "Must have"!
