The second season of CBS's sitcom Gilligan's Island premiered in the fall of 1965 in glorious Technicolor. So,those who saw GI in 1964-65 could only guess the colors of the clothes worn by the cast. Cable television's TNT(Turner Network Television) began to air colorized versions in the 1990's of the GI episodes from the first season. The Professor(Russell Johnson) and Mary Ann(Dawn Wells) are mentioned in the slightly revised new version of the theme song. Not only that,Johnson and Wells appear in name and face. The "Up at Bat" Episode is the 1st episode from Season 3. It aired September 12, 1966. So it will be on the Season 3 DVD set when its released.
As to the season 2 set, its great and the sound and video quality are top notch! If your a fan of this show, what are you waiting for go buy it!! The price is also very reasonable at $27.99..yes there are double sided DVDs, but thats what keeps the price down and I like that!

...Hmmmm...For some strange reason, the Season 2 episode "Up At Bat" (-- where Gilligan is bitten by a fruit bat and thinks he's turning into a vampire --) is NOT to be found here! ("Egad!" as a certain outraged millionaire would exclaim.) Does anyone know WHY??? Send for the police! Call Scotland Yard! Phone Batman! "Gilligan's Island: The Complete Second Season" ISN'T!
