Do you remember watching these shows when you were a kid? That's part of the fun of this DVD set. I had season 1 and my 10 year old daughter loved it so much that she put season 2 on her Christmas list. She loves watching the shows and I enjoy hearing her giggle at the castaways' adventures. Season two of Gilligan's Island switches from b&w to color.The three hour tour continues with all 32 second season episodes and a few bonus features.The bonus features include a season introduction by the professor and the shows creator Sherwood Schwartz. There is also a commentary on episode #3 the little dictator by Schwartz.So once again no cast interviews or bloopers or featurettes from the shows stars.The video transfer is great and the sound is clean and crisp.The colors are sharp and vibrant.Somehow the studio crammed season two onto 3 double sided disc's and the picture is still incredible.These episodes never looked this good when i watched the show on television.A show without sex,violence,swearing how can it be entertaining.Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale..........just enjoy it!.Movie Review: Gilligan's Island - complete second season

as i have said i'm a father of two boys and the wife and i use dvds of old shows we like to keep tabs on what they see,and they love gilligan.
this is the first season to be shot in color, and after bob denver demanded that it be done(he really was a nice guy) we get "the professor and mary ann" added to the theme song.as a family we have movie and popcorn night on friday and the boys get to pick what we watch and they love gilligan. no bad words or over the top talk of sex and that is also one more reason this show is in our collection.
so "just sit right back, and you'll hear a tale" that the whole family can laugh with.

Recommended by a friend, for our kids. My 9 and 10 year old kids love it. Laugh alot. Spurs their imaginations, too. And for all audiences which is hard to find in this day and age. First series is B&W. 2nd and 3rd series are in color.
