Movie Reviews of Gia (Unrated Edition)Movie Review: Angelina Jolie as a Model, and a great story Summary: 5 Stars
Angelina Jolie as model Gia. This is a very good film, with a great story, and Angelina is fantastic. I am unfamiliar with the original model and the biography of Gia, but I loved this film. Since Hackers, I've watched anything with Angelina Jolie, and she seems right for the character portrayed. I doubt that many actresses would have pulled off the "hooked" scenes as well as Jolie.
Movie Review: Project Runway Summary: 5 Stars
I think this is Angelina's best film, hands down. She just becomes Gia and you forget you are watching a movie. I absolutely love her performance. I totally connect with her character because I feel that I resemble some of her qualities. I also loved Mercedes Rhuel as Gia's mother. Her character actually reminds me of MY mother. This is an incredible movie, well written and very well acted. U go Angelina, make more movies like this and stay away from Tomb Raider!!
Movie Review: Angelina Naked Summary: 5 Stars
This is a relationship story in the beginning. This is a fall-from-grace Tragedy at the end. It is a voyeur film in the sense that the thrill is in the watching much more than in following along as the story unfolds, especially once the transition from the early relationship to the long, long fall begins. The more successful the model becomes the more she is manipulated and the more she succumbs to the destructive extravagance available to her.
Movie Review: Wake UP Summary: 5 Stars
I wish people would stop blinding themselves with Angelina Jolies looks and start seeing what an incredible actress she is. The way she portrayed Gia is absolutely fantastic. Hat off to her for throwing herself into this with heart and soul. If anyone one thinks this is not a soul destroying part to play, think again. If it was me, I would have been burnt out by the end of this. Wake up people and see the actress at work and not her beauty.
Movie Review: Gia Summary: 5 Stars
America's first supermodel Gia Carangi lives hard and dies young in the glamorous, excessive urban wilds of 1970s New York City. The movie takes you deeper and deeper into a personality you feel you are part of, but are scared to become. This is a story with love, hatred, pain, joy, and many other emotions. Gia is superbly acted by Angelina Jolie, who captivates the true escence that the real Gia once had. I recomend this movie highly.
