Movie Reviews of Garbage: Absolute Garbage

Movie Review: Absolute Great
Summary: 4 Stars

I have always have been a garbage fan, i have all of their records, all are amazing, i still listen to them often, and this dvd collection is great, i rate it four stars because there are some videos missing, like androgyny and a few of the latest singles from bleed like me, also the sound is a little high.

But is a great buy, mostly for fans.

Movie Review: Great Collection!
Summary: 4 Stars

Now all we need is a separate disc with a full show performance and the remaining videos that were omitted from this collection.

The ending of this program is rather "bitterish". They hint that not all is well in the Garbage camp... but try to save face.

Anyways, this is a great disc, get it while it lasts!

Movie Review: I Love This Band
Summary: 4 Stars

The contrast of these seasoned older producer/musicians with the lovely siren, Shirley, fronting the band is bizarre at times, but the strength of their playing, and her sassiness make this a sure hit. Enjoy

Movie Review: Love it.
Summary: 4 Stars

I'm so happy I bought this. I am a huge Garbage fan, and I love all their music videos. This is a great collection, and the documentary is great. The only thing is that I wish it had ALL their videos.

Movie Review: absolute garbage is about 30 proof (for longtime fans)
Summary: 3 Stars

garbage has been a favorite of mine since i first saw "only happy when it rains" one bleary midnight on mtv. consequently, i feel i am almost one of those fans that is too hard core. speaking for these sorts, i would have enjoyed the first five videos to have incorporated the video snippets from the "garbage" vhs to tie them together, and perhaps continue with that concept throughout the remaining videos (or at least had the 31 minute "garbage" program as an extra). the documentary is a joy to watch and it is wonderful seeing crystal clear transfers of these videos dating back to 1995, therefore i am forever grateful. but i am curious why they didn't master the sound in dolby digital. it's in linear pcm, which is the same as a cd. all in all, the glaring omissions mentioned by other reviewers plus the things i mentioned here make for a bittersweet reception. however, it is fairly priced, so perhaps it's just mistitled. a garbage collection, yes. "absolute" garbage: no.
