Movie Reviews of Garbage: Absolute GarbageMovie Review: Garbage is anything but garbage! Summary: 5 Stars
I just watched my copy of Garbage: Absolute Garbage last night and the dvd is wonderful. You get 15 garbage music videos, a couple of their videos are missing like Breaking up the Girl and Adrogyny but the picture and quality of the videos is clear and outstanding! And the dvd also comes with a 68 minute behind-the-scenes-footage of the band. They discuss how they met Shirley Manson, how they worked on all four albums, and their grueling touring for 10 non-stop years. The first scene where Shirley and Duke Erikson are playing Chopsticks on the piano is quite cute I must say. Garbage is my favorite band of all-time and I hear Shirley is currently working on a solo record but I hope in the near furture they record another album because they rock! If you're a die-hard garbage fan like me then get this now! My favorite videos from this collection are: Milk, Push It, I Think I'm Paranoid, You Look So Fine, The World is not Enough, Why Do You Love Me, and Bleed Like Me. So don't wait get this dvd today. Enjoy!
Movie Review: Absolute Rocking Popmusic Summary: 5 Stars
Great stuff and first dvd with 15 various video's from the start to the last album that shows how this band still rocks, although their existence at this time is unsure to continue.....rumours of Shirley Manson going solo..
Also a 65-minute "Thanks For Your Uhh, Support" documentary, showing you the band at close range....
Why is the Region 2 release different in having 3 extra video's??
Please continue to make groundbreaking music that never failes to produce quality with beautifully and original arranged melodies.
Videoquality of the highest in Aspect ratio: 4:3 / 1.85:1 and 2.35:1 and sound is OK, even when the audio stucks at Stereo 2.0, maybe the best you can get with real music, 'only' from 2 speakers...
Thanks for this dvd people, this makes my day......now the next new album please...
Movie Review: Sit back and watch the long, strange trip... Summary: 5 Stars
I've waited soooo long for this DVD. The only reason I hold onto my VCR is my old Garbage msuic video VHS tape! And now, it's here. I hate to complain, but I must admit I'm bummed that "Run Baby Run", "Androgyny" and (especially) "Breaking Up the Girl" aren't on here, and it feels a bit incomplete as a result. Those choices and elements of the documentary itself seem to reflect how the band itself feels about albums 3 and 4, which is kind of sad. STILL, what IS on here is still more than I hoped for, specifically because of the very high AV quality, and the aforementioned documentary itself. Watching it is bittersweet, making a fan like me feel young and old at the same time as I relived the past 12 years, but saw it for the first time through their eyes. Thanks, Garbage. If this is goodbye, it is a wonderful gift!
Movie Review: Any Garbage Fan Will Love This Summary: 5 Stars
This DVD is oneof my favorite items that I own from Garbage. My first favorite is the beautifulgarbage album.
Anybody who loves Garbage will love this, it is goo dmusic, creative videos, and a very mindblowing documentary that keeps you asking for more. I know myself, I bought this retail, and the actual album online. Both are great, great to hear updated versions of such great songs from Garbage. Even if you only know a couple songs from Garbage, by getting this will introduce you to the great world of Garbage that I know and love. Garbage just makes good music, and their videos are so creative. Great collection. I wish it had the video to Androgyny though.
Movie Review: Great Collection of Music Videos Summary: 5 Stars
As a new Garbage fan, I have found this DVD fun and learned a lot about the Band's beginnings in 1995 to 2005 through the added documentary after the videos. I've already watched the DVD three times since I got it four days ago! Plus with the added double disk set of the CD Absolute Garbage, I have truly become a devoted fan. It is definitely worth the money, particularly for those who want to watch one or more of their videos and know you can't wait for MTV or other music channels (not on On Demand here :( - sad) to show one. Plus this would be great for dance parties...hmmm better plan one soon!
