Movie Review: Great Movie. Let it Grow on You!

When I first saw this movie, I thought it was pretty bad. But I wasn't paying attention and over the years this has grown on me. There aren't any real belly laughs. But this is a very funny movie nonetheless. Chevy Chase doesn't go over the top and doesn't fall into any of the vacation facial expressions for laughs. All of the characters are quirky. A nice fish out of water story where the lead character finds out he's much more out of his element than he expects.Movie Review: Chase chases out laughter spit after spit after spit

That means almost every time he says something to someone about something he's talking about. one can not help but laugh. he's brilliant in the Vacation movies too. I have this on dvd and love it. the actors and actresses are amazing. Just picked up the DVD today of funny farm, I watched the movie a dozen times on TV and always wanted to get the DVD, can't wait to see the great picture and sound it presents. A funny little film about a writer who travels to the town of Redbud, Vermont buys a home right in the middle of the country, to write his novel. This is about my all-time favorite movie. I count it as a Christmas movie as it all culminates at Christmas. I love the house in the country where the couple ends up. I love Chevy Chase and Madolyn Smith and all the other characters. I love the story premise. Sometimes I'll get done watching it and start it all over again. You did a good job getting the DVD out to us. Appreciate doing business with you folks.

This movie, in my opinion, is Chevy Chases' best work. He shines, as does his supporting cast in this comedy about a big city native who retires to the country with his wife to become a writer. Nobody should miss this movie. It is a classic. Chevy Chase does comedy like nobody else in this movie. It is absolutley hilarious. From 'lamb fries' to the mailman, this movie is full of good humor. DO NOT MISS IT.
