Movie Review: One of the Best Movies I've Ever Seen

From Here to Eternity, where to begin? This is probably one of my top 10 movies that I've ever seen. I love it! Frank Sinatra is wonderful in it; Montgomery Clift is gorgeous, vulnerable, and brave in this movie; Burt Lancaster is awesome, as everyone who has ever seen him could tell you. This movie shows a clear depiction of the soldiers at Pearl Harbor before it was bombed. The book is a totally long, obnoxious book, towards the end I only read the quotations. The movie totally changed the book and made it wonderful. This is a classic, and will be for the rest of time.Movie Review: Is it the Greatest Pearl Harbor Movie???

Personally I do like this movie, in contrast to Pearl Harbor then this movie admits it is a love-story and actually has some good action in it too. The of course there is In Harms Way and Tora Tora Tora, where In Harms Way is similar to Pearl Harbor and From Here to Eternity with love-triangles and betrayal and sneak attack. Tora! Tora! Tora! being the movie telling the factual story.I have just completed a project for the USS Arizona Memorial comparing the movies, take a look and cast your vote;

The stars of this movie are Lancaster, Cliff, Sinatra, Donna Reed, and OF COURSE Deborah Kerr. Amazon, we want to think you LIKE movies! Please don't do something like this, again.

Movie Review: From Here to Enternity and Back!

A true love story in all aspects! A good snapshot in time, with believable circumstances of the attack on Pearl Harbor. While the love scene on the beach is probably the most talked about scene, I find the final scenes with Deborah Kerr and Donna Reed to be the most memorable and heart tugging. Burt Lancaster and Montgomery Clift's honest exchanges about love while sitting drunk in the middle of a road was some of the most accurate dialog between two men on the subject. A movie for all times for all seasons!Movie Review: Why not widescreen?

Hallo! "From here to eternity" is one of my big favorite movies. I have wait for this DVD very long. This film are filmed in Megascope so it M-U-S-T be realesed in widescreen, so I can not understand if they not show this masterpiece this way. Most of the another widescreen movies are realesed in that format on DVD:s. If "From here to eternity" should be realesed in standard format - I not gonna buy the DVD.
