Movie Reviews of Frisky Dingo - Season 1Movie Review: One of Adult Swim's best Summary: 5 Stars
I've been a fan of Adult Swim for several years and I'll be honest, I think the shows are hit or miss. Some are incredibly great and others just completely suck. Sealab 2021 was one of the few that was right in the middle with half of the episodes being terrible and the other half being golden. With Frisky Dingo the two dudes who made Sealab seem to have found their match. I haven't seen every episode that has been done yet, but I liked what I've seen enough to buy them all on iTunes and I have yet to see an episode that was anything less than excellent. This is easily one of the top three Adult Swim shows that have ever come out. It's right up there with Aqua Teen and The Venture Brothers. If you like Adult Swim and love the short, loosely strung together cartoons constantly see on it then you should have no problem getting into this show.
Movie Review: A must for Frisky Dingo fans Summary: 5 Stars
If you love Frisky Dingo, how could you not pick this up? If you don't love Frisky Dingo, it's probably just because you haven't seen it yet. It's a character-driven, absurd, dumb and witty, often entirely random comedy.
A note for parents: just because it's animated doesn't mean it's appropriate for children. It doesn't say Disney anywhere on the case. Any kid over 13 is likely to get any of the innuendo, but really you need to be at least late high school to college to really get the humor and references. College kids to baby boomers can enjoy this, depending on their individual sense of humor. I was really hoping for an "unbleeped" (aka uncensored) audio track, a la Family Guy and others, but I was disappointed to find that the content is exactly as aired, no more and no less.
Movie Review: The best show in the world. Evar. Summary: 5 Stars
Adult Swim just keeps getting better and better, now they release their best show on DVD. It's amazing the amount of life they seem to be able to get out of 13 episodes, each about 11 minutes long. I watched each episode as it came out every week, and just knew I had to buy the DVD, and was not disappointed. All the episodes are there, including the pre-show recap of previous episodes, some of the recaps include scenes and/or dialogue that didn't actually happen in the way the episode originally presented it. There are no frills on this DVD, just the episodes. It does feature the full song by Taqui'l (voiced by Killer Mike) playing in the background on the main menu screen ("Skeet on your face, skeet on your face, skeet skeet skeet... etc.) Buy this DVD. Now.
Movie Review: I LOVE it! Summary: 5 Stars
This show is freaking hilarious beyond all belief. It's just completely witty and random. It's also great for just a couple of quick laughs with some friends as each episode is only 11 minutes long. I had never heard of this show until somebody said a quote from it and I had no idea what they were talking about. Bouche. Anyway, once I saw an episode I totally fell in love with it and had to get season 1. It did not disappoint and now I have season 2 pre-ordered. It's good fun, but not for young kids. I am not a fan of cartoons at all, but this is flippin' amazin'.
So why are you reading this and not BUYING it already. BUY! BUY! BUY!!!
Movie Review: Frisky Dingo is sinisterly funny! Summary: 5 Stars
Kill-Face is on a mission, that he just cannot seem to accomplish. His task is to send the Earth into the sun, but he needs to raise more money to do so. As you watch you feel sympathy for Kill-Face, he experiences many setbacks due to a variety of reasons, including the incompetence of others! Overall, "Frisky Dingo" is a very funny show, filled with sadistic and twisted and often dark humor. Season 2 has already aired and I can hardly wait for the second season to come out on DVD.
