Movie Review: Sweet Romance...if that's your thing

Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis are fully committed to this sweet little fantasy-romance that is a great date movie or when you just need to see a "chick-flick."
Unfortunately, the DVD I purchased from amazon was defective and had to be returned, but --unless you're a die hard fan of the stars or the genre-- there's no real reason to own this one. It's strictly a rental or you can wait around for it to be on TV--I can't imagine they edit much out for broadcast.
No noteworthy bonus features.

Mel is back again, and he does pretty well in this one.
A good script and good acting make what would have been an average movie into something far above average.
It was marketed as a movie for kids and adults, I have a hard time agreeing with that due to the fact that Mr. Gibson's rear end is shown AGAIN!!!!!
Can the guy do a movie without showing his butt?
Cover your kids eyes for that scene, otherwise it's a touching, feel good movie with a great cast and a tear jerky ending.

Forever Young is a good family movie. It's gentle and fun. My only real negative comment about it concerns the plot line which is very unbelievable. I felt it never really tried to justify itself. Mel Gibson is his usual charming self and Jamie Lee Curtis is delightful. Kudos to the young Elijah Wood who shines. his singing scene probably won him over all of the female audience, including me. All in all it's an enjoyable movie, not ambitious but one that can easily become a favorite.Movie Review: Refreshing for all ages

This is truly a great family movie. The movie is a puesdo sci fi picture about cryogenics, a love story, a family story, a manly romanic story. I have watched this twice. I truely enjoyed the interaction between Jammie and Mel and the kids were great. I did not care about accuracy, or style, or contents, it was pure enjoyment.Movie Review: Forever Confused

Unless this turns out to have been a made for TV movie, I will wait until
it comes out in widescreen format before I buy it. I project my movies on
a 10 foot wide screen and I like to see the WHOLE picture in its original
format thank you very much. ( 4 stars for the movie, not the format ).
