Movie Review: Forever Young Review
Summary: 5 Stars
This is an outstanding movie. Mel Gibson as a test pilot is very believable. The year 1939 is a pivot year for the world and me in general. The role as a test pilot in the old Army Air Corps is well suited for Mel Gibson. It is a romantic story of how great pictures are made dealing with love and romance. The old school feels as I do that it is not necessary to have people who love deeply jump into the sack together. There are other ways to express love by a touch or maybe a look. We who have been around a while know about our first love and how just maybe we mumbled and stumbled trying to express our love to the most important other person in the world. Whether you are male or female; old or young this picture has something for you. The picture also has a magic that after it ends one is left with a good feeling! We also may wonder what if that had happen to me; what would I have done. Jamie Lee Curtis in a supporting role also shines. Mel Gibson as test pilot Daniel McCormick has a terrific job flying B-25's. He also has found the love of his life in a devoted soulmate Isabel Glasser. When they are both on the screen you can see that these two are meant for each other! There is a lesson in this romantic tale that maybe we should not postponed things until tomorrow to pop the question. I won't say more because then I would reveal the plot but I will say that love as life last forever! You might say, "Whoa...but see the movie and then you will see first hand what I am talking about!" I loved it! I have also seen it a couple of times and the magic of Forever Young, is that it is a great romantic story about courage, taking risks, seizing the moment and in this story getting the opportunity for one more chance at love!
