Movie Review: Great way for bond to get back DOWN TO EARTH
Summary: 5 Stars
I was worried that after MOONRAKER, that bond would get to be Science fiction, rather than espionage, but For Your Eyes Only changed my mind quick. Moore is badder than ever in this movie, and I beleave this is one of his best. I love the story line, I LOVE the leading ladie, but the only thing i have to complain about is the fact that it was Moore's bond that finnaly killed Blofeld. I beleave that Connery should have had the pleasure. But o well. Hes gone and thats what counts. Great dvd and a must have for all.Movie Review: Roger Moore finally comes into his own as Bond

Finally, after several near misses and the terrible Moonraker, Roger Moore finally becomes Bond in this his fifth outing as Ian Fleming's super agent. This film also takes a departure from the "gadgets" that have become an icon of the series and gets back to the true heart of the character through espionage and intrigue. Shot throughout the Mediterranean & the Swiss Alps, this is one of the best Bond movies ever, right next to Goldfinger & Dr. No.Movie Review: Roger Moore's best!

It would be very difficult to play James Bond any better than Roger Moore did in this film. This was the first Bond film that I saw in the theater and I instantly became a fan. This film has all of the qualities that make the Bond films great: scenery, exciting plot and great stunt work. The only disappointment is that there was not enough action with the Lotus (what happens to it is hilarious, however). Many fans of Moore consider it the best of his cycle as 007. And there are many reasons to support it; spectacular chases, sumptuous locations, the presence of the fascinating beauty of Carole Bouquet, the undeniable fact the main title has been one of the four best song of the series (From Russia with love, Thunderball and Goldfinger) and the first incursion of this funny steeled teeth giant.
Anyway, you will never be disappointed.
Movie Review: Roger Moore IS James Bond

Returning to a more reality based story Roger Moore is James Bond once again. This film ties its itself to where ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE left off. Bond has some unfinished buisiness to take care of in the pre-title squence and then this Cold War plot takes off from there. There is a lot of action and Bill Cont's score works well with it. This is the one Roger Moore Bond film that fits in with some of the best.
