Movie Reviews of Flight of the NavigatorMovie Review: The best movie ever made to this day! Summary: 5 Stars
If you have not seen Disney's "Flight of the Navigator," then you have not seen a great Disney movie in your life. Others have come close, like Disney's "Angels in the Outfield" with Christopher Lloyd. However, when young David Freeman falls into a revine just to come back 8 Earth years later, this is where the whole movie begins.
I will admit that it does have a slow start, but after David climbs out of the revine, the movie just shoots like a spacecraft from there, literally. Hey, if you are looking for a famous celebrity in this movie, young Sarah Jessica Parker from "Sex in the City" is in this movie. Rent it, buy it, do whatever you have too. Just do what I have told countless others to do, see Disney's "Flight of the Navigator." It's the best comedy ever!
Movie Review: Best Movie Ever Made Summary: 5 Stars
This movie was one of Disney's best movies they have ever made, why no sequal appears to have been made I can't understand why not, maybe if enough people buy the dvd someone will look into making a sequal and realise the potential in this forgotten classic. Sarah Jessica Parker has abig enough income, and im sure it was this movie that probably made her so popular, I think it's about time she gave something back to the community and made a sequal for this movie. I for one would definatley buy the sequal and any sequals made. I have heard from several people that they claim to have seen a sequal, but with years of searching I have not been able to confirm a sequal made, if anyone is aware of a sequal please email me on wfn@xtra.co.nz.
Movie Review: It's a childhood favorite of mine Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this film when I was a kid. And looking back on it, I can clearly see why. The concept of an ordinary kid being a navigator of a spaceship really became something unusual back then. And it's still a benchmark in children's sci-fi as of today. The scientific analysis of the connection between the kid and the spaceship didn't make sense to me back then, but now it's clear, and it's sort of creepy if you think about it. Paul Reubens as Max is a treat, and the supporting cast (especially Sarah Jessica Parker as McAdams) are attention-grabbing. The music is now corny compared to back then, but it's still quite catchy. All in all, it's an entertaining family film . . . that should get a better treatment on DVD!
Movie Review: One of My Favorites as a Child, now on DVD!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Flight of the Navigator certainly brings back wonderful memories, of childhood in the summertime eating hotdogs and drinking soda on a sunday night. This Disney flick about a boy's journey mysterious journey through time was long overdue on DVD!! Ofcourse we cannot forget that Sarah Jessica Parker has a prominent role! And isn't Paul Reubens, (aka Pee Wee Herman) the voice of the alien navigator??The Picture and Sound quality are excellent, as compared to that old VHS copy we all have! Presented in 1:85:1 Aspect Ratio Widescreen. The DVD is lacking any real special features, like "The Making of" or "Commentaries" but it is a wonderful addition to that nostalgic childhood collection.
Movie Review: Good, But Don't Try This in Real Life Summary: 5 Stars
This movie is about a kid who not only is the navigator but also becomes the pilot. It makes for a good movie but is kind of dangerous in real life. People watching this as a family should be sure to explain to their kids that:
A. People who are navigating in the car should stick to reading the map and not try to drive at the same time.
B. Kids should never drive a moving vehicle until they turn 16 and get their license. ESPECIALLY aircraft.
C. Kid's should NEVER go walking out alone near deserted railroad tracks.
Thanks for talking to your kids about these important issues.
