Movie Review: INTERESTING CONSPIRACY THEORY
Summary: 4 Stars
Fans of Oliver Stone's JFK conspiracy theory may find FLASHPOINT an interesting variation. Kris Kristofferson and Treat Williams effectively portray two Border Patrol officers who stumble upon a buried jeep and corpse in the desert. The jeep also has eight hundred thousand dollars in it and a sniper's rifle. It's not long before our heroes find themselves battling other agents who don't want this story to get out. It's ending is surprising, if vague, but you will know where the storyline has taken you. Tess Harper and Jean Smart are good as the love interests, and Rip Torn, Kurtwood Smith and Miguel Ferrer lend fine support. An interesting and engaging film.Movie Review: Great story

I consider this movie a classic of the JFK Conspiracy theory genre. Well-acted by all major characters; Kurtwood Smith is especially good as a very bad character; it's strange to see him now in a comedic role on 'That 70's Show' on TV. Rip Torn is an enduring and endearing character actor and , although not on screen too much, plays a seminal part in the story. Beautifully photographed in Tucson,Arizona area --although the story takes place on the Texas border. kristofferson and williams play border guards who find a jeep buried for 20 plus years with a dead man a gun and $800,000 in cash. before you can say j.f.k. these boys have bitten off more than they can chew.
the thrills in this are very good and really you can spot the plot twist a mile away,but the movie is so good give it a try and i think you will like it.

From 1984.I believe this was HBOs first movie ever.
2 U.S. border patrol agents on the Mexican border find a jeep in a dried up river bed with a bag full of money.Their find turns out to be related to one of the infamous murders in history.
A little dated but still not bad.

An outstanding movie. This film has always been a favorite. I was sad to see though that this DVD version has been edited. Some lines are missing here and there. If not for that, I would rate it 5 stars. I do not understand why those lines would have been taken out.
