Movie Review: Pretty cute and so like my babys day..

This is a quick take on a babys day. My baby, who is 16 months, enjoys it for a few minutes then wanders off. I think he likes the pics of mom and dads snuggling with their babies the best. Although the editorial review says that this video is for babies 6 months to 3 years, the case says 3 months and up. I bought this DVD for my 5 month old daughter and she started crying within 2 minutes! I was VERY disappointed. The first 10 to 15 seconds of the DVD are the puppets, and they quickly caught my daughter's attention. But then the next few minutes (it seems like forever) are scene after endless scene of babies waking up. I'm amazed that the people at Fisher Price could possibly think a baby would find that interesting. So I forwarded the DVD a few times to see if it got any more interesting. Nope. The puppets on the DVD case are rarely seen on the DVD. ??? This is a complete waste of money. I've tried some of the Baby Einstein videos with my daughter and she really likes them. She loves Baby Beethoven. From beginning to end, she can't take her eyes off the screen when it's on. The puppets are really entertaining and the toys are very interesting. But we wanted to try something new so we bought this video. Even I thought it was boring.
Go with the Baby Einstein videos. They're a little more expensive, but worth the extra money.
***NOTE*** I played this for my daughter again this morning. She was all into it! She watched 17 minutes of it without making a sound. Even when I tried sitting with her to watch it, she looked at me and went right back to the video.
I think this video should be for six months and up (not 3 and up like the package says). At five months my daughter wasn't interested at all. Now, at 6.5 months, she really likes it.

Movie Review: This ain't no Baby Einstein, Mama.

I bought this because it was five dollars less than the Baby Einstein DVD at Wal-Mart. Man, what a gigantic waste of money - this is SO lame, SO boring, my twins hate it, even my older daughter said, "Is this Baby Einstein? It's so much lamer than the other Baby Einstein movies!" HUUUUUUUGE waste of money. I may try to unload it on eBay on some unsuspecting buyer. But I don't think I could live with myself.
Pick up Baby Neptune or Baby Mozart instead. Your babies will be much, much happier than they would be watching this garbage.

My 3 month old loves her Baby Einstein videos. When I saw this in the store I thought that it looked cute, so I bought it for her thinking she would like something different. I put it in for her, and it did not hold her attention for one second. I thought that maybe it would be better if she were older, so I let a friend borrow it. She has a 5 month old son, and he actually cried when the puppets came on!Save your money and stick with what works. In our case, we will stick with Baby Einstein.
