Movie Review: Not-So-Beautiful plumage
Summary: 3 Stars

I won't compare this movie to Wanda, I promise. But while Fierce creatures has many hilarious moments, that doesn't really help classify it as a 4 star movie - 3.5 at the most.

My main problem is that most of the jokes simply seem too weak - I find this hard to explain, other than trying to compare it with Oscar - both have funny moments, but most of the humor simply falls flat.

And while I promised to leave Wanda out of this, I must say that had I rented this movie first, and had it not been a "sequel" to one of the funniest comedies, I would not have bought it (even though I'm a big fan of Monty Python and the great John Cleese).

Movie Review: Great Movie, but butchered release!
Summary: 3 Stars

If were just rating the movie, I would give it 5 stars. I love the movie and cast. However, the chopped up pan and scan version is terrible. I don't understand why A Fish Called Wanda is available in it's original aspect ratio but Fierce Creatures continues to be released in this awful pan and scan (or as I like to call it, pan and scam) format.

I ended up giving this movie 3 stars as an average of the 5 stars I would give the movie itself and 0 stars I would give the format of this release.

The service by the seller was first rate but the product was not. Buyers should be aware Fierce Creatures is in the "pan and scan" format, not letterboxed and the differences are noticeable. For example, two people are talking but only one is visible and the overall clarity of the video is compromised. It is very irritating.

Movie Review: Not a Fish Called Wanda
Summary: 3 Stars

Although Fierce Creatures has some fairly funny situations, it lacks the side splitting laughs delivered by Wanda. Overall, it's not a bad movie. For Wanda lovers though, this follow up movie might be a bit of a disappointment.
