Movie Review: FEELING MINESOTA ROCKS!

Firstly I must say to the nay sayers

WHY YOU SO LIKE DAT?

This is a great movie - amongst my favourites. I wore out the first tape I bought so I had to buy it again and I'm eagerly awaiting it's release on DVD.

There IS a plot. It's a black COMEDY. I can see the comic elements in it. The two brother's fighting. It's meant to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I liked the portayal of the way of life of these folks in Minnesota. The dagginess of their existence. One of my favourite bits is at the weeding when the groom is trying to kiss the bride and she doesn't wanna know - classic!

And of course - I love Keanu in this film! What a babe. He has great comic timing (you should do more comedy dude!) and his exudes innocence, yet is incredible sexy at the same time(COOL)

Yes I have to agree with the viewer from Glendale he looks yummy with his fluffy hair and those black pants (stop drooling).

Vincent D'Onofrio is a class act. He does very good charater acting. Cameron Diaz was excellent as well.

So, the script wasn't all that - but they done a great job of it.

IT'S A GOOD FILM - BUY IT! BUY THE SOUNDTRACK TOO!

This movie is a good test of your ability to understand movies. It's a wonderfully engaging black comedy. The characters are all quircky, twisted and have well developed individualistic traits that make viewing into a strange voyeurist exercise. If your movie tastes demand spaceships, Terminators or Cops N Robbers in shootouts, you will be sorely disappointed and find this a movie without meaning. If however, you have the ability to sit and watch a good, engaging, "independent"-flavored movie and watch some major stars trying out thier acting licks in a different role, and you can enjoy an offbeat plot... you will love this sucker. I've watched it a dozen times and still enjoy it.

You cann't label this movie. It is a mixture of all the colors, just like our lives - it can be pink, it can be dark, and most of the time it can be totaly yucky and nasty. In this movie, there is no glory, no heros, no angels... their animal instincts are their only [tool]. This movie is a genuine beauty. Remeber what he said at the end, you must read between the lines. For that reason, it deserves 5 stars. This is a movie ahead of its time.
