Movie Reviews of Fast Food Nation

Movie Review: A must-see!
Summary: 5 Stars

Those who see Fast Food Nation as simply a movie about hamburger or even the fast food industry miss the point. Fast Food nation uses the fast food industry as a metaphor for the degradation of EVERYTHING from the land to the lives of ranchers to the the people who work within the death machine which is modern corporate culture. It is broad in its scope, but it must be. The banding together of young people to fight the ills they saw through direct action gives hope for the future.

Movie Review: Great film!
Summary: 5 Stars

I found this movie not only entertaining, with the great cast, but also very informative. I know some people may find the sex scenes and the slaughtering of cows graphic, but let's not be in denial of what's really going on. Knowledge is power, and everyone should know exactly what goes on before they bite into their food. If it disgusts you, then don't eat meat because this is actually the norm of the meat industry. This movie was great!

Movie Review: Eye Opening and Fair Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

This was an entertaining movie but with a message. I had already read the book some years ago and had stopped eating at McDonalds and eating red meat right then. The images from the book were about how I imagined them when I saw the movie. I thought the acting was great - even though it clearly had a point of view, I think there was an attempt to show other points of view. I bought 3 copies so I could give it to appropriate friends.

Movie Review: An Eye Opener!
Summary: 5 Stars

An AMAZING movie! VERY good acting, well done celebrity cameos, and a perfect length.

It showed how despite all of the evidence that our country is now being virtually RUN by corporation, we Americans don't do anything about it.

How the problem is getting so large that we, many of us just don't know what to do about it anymore...

Movie Review: One of the BEST...comments on America today.
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw FAST FOOD NATION at a screening and must say I was deeply moved by the straightforward but extremely compassionate storytelling. Each character's story resonates with emotion and complexity -- the issues are not black and white. There is plenty of "food for thought" in this film.
