Movie Review: If You Like Monophonic Sound...
Summary: 2 Stars
This was maybe the most awaiting concert on DVD since Asia's reunion with the four original members in 2006. Remember that the last time they were all together was in september 1983.
If you are watching to that DVD on your tv speakers, good for you. You won't notice anything. Even if you do it on your hi-fi system, it will be hard to say that but ok. I have here a very expensive hi-fi system. But no one hi-fi system will give you the real rendition of a concert. You have to watch it with a pair of hearphones. Any quality you want. Hearphones gives you the real test, the real thing.
I have here a pair of headphones Koss HV-1A. You can't almost have better. Watching-listening to a concert on DVD with your headphones is so another thing. You can hear everything, mostly if the mixing is good, well done.
Here we have a concert recorded not in 1967, but in 2007. It is in mono all the way apart some ''drums'' parts here and there along the concert.
Very disapointing if we consider that this concert was made in Japan and that the Asia members deserve more than this.
I'm giving it two stars because of the great image quality and editing. But if you like mono concerts, this is for you...
