Movie Reviews of Fantasia 2000

Movie Review: Flying Whales?....Disney does it again.
Summary: 5 Stars

This film is an absolute delight for all of the family. It is supported by animation that sets the senses reeling and the imagination soaring. The music is skillfully adapted so as to feel every beat as it corresponds to the actions of dancing characters, so full of life, that they appear to jump right off the screen. It is bound to appeal to young and old.

This critically acclaimed compilation is not only unique in its presentation but it leaves you with a sense of memories created. To this day I remember my first viewing of the original "Fantasia" with my daughter. How often does a film like this come along? Not only will "Fantasia 2000" become a treasured memory but you will also enjoy the clarity and vivid colors of DVD technology. How can you lose? 12/28/00

Movie Review: Great
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great movie. There's great music, cool animation, a feast for all of your senses. It's really a wonderful and unique experience, different even from the first Fantasia. It may not be for everybody, though. On discerning reviewer (bra1n1ac) didn't care for it because there were famous actors doing the intros to the pieces. Of course, these ae talented professionals, but if you don't care for good performances then this moght not be for you. Bra1n1ac also claims that this film can never be a masterpiece, so I looked at his other reviews. He gave five stars to Scooby Doo: Zombie Island and Scooby Doo: The Witch's Ghost.

I highly reccommend this movie to everyone, except maybe people who consider Scooby-Doo to be the ultimate animatoin masterpiece.

Movie Review: This is a wonderful moive, and good form of art
Summary: 5 Stars

I love art,in fact i am an artist....well an artist in training.I saw the previews for this movie and i was stunnded that how amazing it was. then when it finelly came out i was like i have to get this moive. So my mother bought it for me for christmas. we watch it that night and i was just blown away by this piec of art,the grphics was just superv. I watch the moive again and right then i started drawing the characters. I also have The first Fantasia I got when i was just a baby, that was about 17 years ago. Althought Fantasia 2000 is a wonderful moive,The orgianl Fantasia is the best, its a classic. Both of these moives are great, I watch them all the time. I would recommand these moives to anyone young are old, trust me you wont be disappointed. Thank you

Movie Review: I would love one of these every 5 years or so...
Summary: 5 Stars

To me, this is quite simply the best Disney film ever made! I enjoy it more than the original! If you have one Disney DVD in your collection, then make it this one! My children aged 5 and 7 love it as much as I do. Each of us has a different part that is our personal favorite, and that says a lot about the strength of each peice. It is a awesome way to involve your child in the woderful world of classical music. I would be ecstatic if Disney would release a new version of Fantasia every 5 years with new peices and old. It's a great concept that Disney himself thought of over a half century ago! If you have not seen this then buy it, rent it, or borrow it, but you and your children need to see this incredible film on the biggest TV you can find!

Movie Review: Fantasia 2000
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw Fantasia 2000 for the first time at the Imax Theater and it was simply fantastic. As a result, I decided to get it on DVD for myself and my grandchildren. The DVD was really great with good color, sound and clarity. However, I was disappointed in watching it in letterbox. My new Panasonic television has the capability of changing letterbox with the pan & scan but it said that if the DVD wasn't formatted to do this, it still has to be viewed in letterbox. With all the new technology out today, why couldn't this DVD be formatted to change from letterbox to full screen. I enjoyed Fantasia very much but would be reluctant to buy anything in widescreen where I can't change the letterbox. Letterbox viewing is so annoying.
